Since our days of trick-or-treating with a bag around the neighborhood are long past, we thought we’d round up all the sugary goodies we’d want in our shopping bags instead. The best part of all? We can indulge as much as we like in these luscious beauty treats—without having to watch our waistline.

Here in Seattle, April showers bring May…showers, followed by a totally unpredictable month we refer to as “June-uary.” But every Seattleite knows that, somehow, consistent summer weather always begins right after Independence Day.

Today is no exception, with sunny skies predicted as far as our weather apps can see. It’s the season that makes enduring months and months of grey skies worth it to every Jet City dweller. What better time to talk about some of our favorite ways to keep our skin gorgeous and healthy during Seattle’s most beautiful time of year.

Here’s how we soak up the sun while saving our skin from damage with suncare.

1 – Faux Tanning Supplies. Faux tanning technology has come so far, and there’s no reason to risk damaging your skin over time to get a tan (nobody wants to look as leathery as a handbag). Add a little real luxury to that nobody-will-know-it’s-fake tan with 24-karat gold leaf for shimmering skin with this Xen-Tan Set (pictured).

2 – After-Sun Care. SPF protection is meant to shield you while outdoors. After you come inside, rehydrate, cool and guard your skin against signs of premature aging with a product formulated for after-sun care. [Pictured: Clarins After Sun Moisturizer Ultra-Hydrating]

3 – SPF Protection for Face. Sometimes you don’t need full-body protection for daily care or you need something specifically designed for the face that’s light and absorbs quickly. [Pictured: philosophy ‘here comes the sun’ age defense facial sunscreen]

4 – Total-Body SPF Protection. Make sure you pack total-body protection in your day-at-the-beach bag. When you have an all-in-one sunscreen meant for face and body, it’s a no-brainer essential. [Pictured: Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion for Face & Body SPF 60 PA+++]

5 – Tinted SPF Moisturizer. Moisturizer + SPF + tint? It’s a perfect-for-everyday trifecta. [Pictured: La Mer ‘The SPF Fluid Tint’ Broad Spectrum SPF 18]

6 – Sunscreen Wipes. We can’t get enough of sunscreen wipes. They’re totally packable, kid-approved and make applying sun protection so, so easy. [Pictured: Dr. T’s Supergoop! Sunscreen Swipes SPF 30+]

7 – Eye & Lip SPF Protection. Don’t forget these delicate parts of the face! For everyday or added protection, be sure to give your pout and your peepers some extra-special loving. [Pictured: Kiehl’s Lip Balm SPF 15 | Clarins Sunscreen for Eyes Wrinkle Control Cream SPF 30]
