Romantic. Feminine. Glamorous. These three words epitomize my favorite shows of Milan Fashion Week: Roberto Cavalli, Emporio Armani, and Dolce & Gabbana. Take a look:
Roberto Cavalli‘s pieces were influenced by the 1920s flapper, incorporating furs, beading, and fringe. The slinky silhouettes and clean color palette add a modern touch to the collection.
Emporio Armani drew inspiration from the lily, the color story embracing the muted greys, blues, and greens of a foggy water garden. The pinned hair and soft fabrics project an ethereal, fairy-like aura.
Dolce & Gabbana took cues from Frederico Fellini’s 1969 film, Satyricon. The collection combines the aesthetic of the temples and theaters of Ancient Rome and the glamour of Hollywood to create a dream-like feel.
Hope you enjoyed your front row seat to some of the most breathtaking shows of Milan. If you’d like to see the other collections featured at MFW, check them out on Fashion Channel.
