The days are getting longer, the weather’s getting warmer and stores are bringing out their collections of crocheted shorts. Yes, it’s festival season—the most carefree and musical time of the year.
Austin’s SXSW wrapped a few weeks ago, and Coachella, the musical hotspot for celebrities and established Indie groups, kicks off tomorrow. They mark the onslaught of summer music festivals throughout the nation. Music festivals are no longer just about listening to great up-and-coming bands, festivals have morphed into a showcase for the haute-hippie style junkies.
Festival style is not a single look, but rather it’s about putting together clothes in a carefree, fun way. The rules of everday fashion do not apply during these two or three days. Crop tops, leather, denim short-shorts, boots and printed dresses reign supreme. Prints are encouraged, flower crowns are worn and you can be certain that everyone there has a least two pairs of sunglasses.
Summer music festivals are the meeting grounds for the music lovers, style trendsetters and everyday people who leave their responsibilities and worries behind for a weekend. So pull out your jean shorts and crop tops, layer on those necklaces and get ready to cut loose!

Winter formals are right around the corner! Have you figured out what you’re going to wear yet?
Looking and feeling your best should always be a top priority, and this is especially true at major school events like winter formal. A great dress can help you do both. Here are a few of our favorite, seemingly timeless dress trends:
Shine Bright: Sequin dresses, shiny shoes, glitter eyeshadow and nails are always popular around the holidays. There’s no better time of year to go all out and, well, really let your outfit shine. Go for a flirty, fun look in one of these gorgeous styles.

After being outside a lot this past weekend, I realized that winter is truly around the corner. I got out all of my cold-weather essentials and even went shopping for more. The BP. Fall Trend Guide inspired me to bundle up the right way!
While out to lunch and shopping on Sunday, I wore my grey Hue denim leggings, red cardigan, white and black bow tee, Steve Madden ‘Troopa’ boots, and my Nordic knit fur collar. Take a look.
I headed to BP to see what they had in store. I had two requirements in mind for the pieces I was looking for: cozy and cute. I was delighted to find that the new stock had an abundance of pieces that fit both those requirements. Here’s what I ended up buying:
The Rubbish Rugby Stripe Hoodie Sweater in Elliot Pink-Hibiscus: I saw this comfy steal on a girl working in Kids and fell in love with it right away. Try buying it a size up for extra warmth and that trendy oversized look.

The Lulu Lush Faux Fur Circle Scarf: This scarf has got to be the softest thing I own. I bought it in Ivory, but I love it in Black and Camel as well!
The BP. Two Tone Chunky Knit Circle Scarf: Yet another great piece of neck attire! Two colors and two ways to wear it. I can’t wait to don this scarf around my neck as well as around my shoulders.
