For those of you who speak no French, that means “my style”!
I thought that since I’m new to this and most of you don’t know me, I would give you a little taste of my fashion sense. You’ll see a lot more as the year progresses, so I’ll just show you a couple outfits for now.
For fall and winter, I am absolutely in love with the three colors in this first pic. This outfit encompasses all of my favorite wardrobe pieces. First, pullover sweaters—so comfortable and cute, but they can also look polished if styled the right way. Next, skater skirts; they have such a flattering shape on almost every figure. Last but not least, booties. What girl could live without a pair of booties?

This is an outfit I recently wore out to dinner with my friends. I love it because it’s so different from a traditional skirt or dress. A look like this really sets you apart! It even incorporates tights like I mentioned earlier this week. You can get a pair like mine here in BP. The combination of black tights, black high-waisted shorts and black booties has an elongating effect on my legs. The sheer button-up also keeps the outfit feeling light. My shirt in white is no longer available, but you can still get it in some cute colors!

The last outfit is my homecoming dress. Sorry I didn’t have a picture of just me, but this way you can see my beautiful friends! You can probably tell which girl is me, but if you’re still having trouble, I’ll give you a hint: I’m the Asian one! I wore a really simple sleeveless black dress with a turtleneck and put on a string of pearls for a little added glamour. I threw on a pair of chunky black heels and was good to go!

Stay pretty,
Samantha
Hello lovers of fashion! My name is Samantha, and I’m going to be blogging for BP. at Nordstrom for the next year! I am so thrilled to take you on this exciting journey – come along for the ride and hold on tight! Which brings me to my next topic of discussion: tights.
Tights are one of my favorite ways to keep warm during fall and winter—they add instant warmth as well as interest to any outfit. Tights are such a fun, easy and unique way to accessorize, and they’re also a great way to transition your summer clothes into the cooler months.

Opaque tights: Tights like these can add a fun pop of color or elongate your legs for shorter girls (like me)!

These Frenchi tights in both black and red are great staple pieces to have in your closet.

Patterned tights: This interesting accessory can definitely make a statement. Small or fine patterns draw attention in a very subtle way, while larger patterns give you a bolder look.

Check out BP.’s bold and subtle tights for every occasion!

How will you rock your tights?
Stay lovely (and keep warm),
Samantha

After being outside a lot this past weekend, I realized that winter is truly around the corner. I got out all of my cold-weather essentials and even went shopping for more. The BP. Fall Trend Guide inspired me to bundle up the right way!

While out to lunch and shopping on Sunday, I wore my grey Hue denim leggings, red cardigan, white and black bow tee, Steve Madden ‘Troopa’ boots, and my Nordic knit fur collar. Take a look.

I headed to BP to see what they had in store. I had two requirements in mind for the pieces I was looking for: cozy and cute. I was delighted to find that the new stock had an abundance of pieces that fit both those requirements. Here’s what I ended up buying:
The Rubbish Rugby Stripe Hoodie Sweater in Elliot Pink-Hibiscus: I saw this comfy steal on a girl working in Kids and fell in love with it right away. Try buying it a size up for extra warmth and that trendy oversized look.

‘

The Lulu Lush Faux Fur Circle Scarf: This scarf has got to be the softest thing I own. I bought it in Ivory, but I love it in Black and Camel as well!

The BP. Two Tone Chunky Knit Circle Scarf: Yet another great piece of neck attire! Two colors and two ways to wear it. I can’t wait to don this scarf around my neck as well as around my shoulders.

Fingerless gloves, faux fur, Nordic prints, and a variety of colors were other trends present in BP.’s photo shoot: The Great Escape, Part 2. Look through the guide for your own inspiration this season!
Have a great week!
XOXO,
Ashley
A new style has been appearing across the fashion world online and on the streets, and is currently trending in BP: Bewitched. This look is a lot of girly and a lot of grunge. But it is mixed in a whimsical way that—for lack of a better phrase—seems effortlessly chic.
I browsed blogs this weekend trying to find the look in some of my favorite bloggers’ pictures. Check out my findings, and notice all the tulle, sparkles and leather.

These are the key elements to this look:
Combats
Black (a must-have color in your wardrobe, and typical of a witch anyway)
Dark metals
Sequins
Fun patterns (such as gingham or scotty dogs)
Patterned tights (like polka dots and bows)
These are the new bewitched complete looks online: Look them over, and get some inspiration! Also, browse the blogs to see this trend popping up all over the Internet.

This look is perfect for the upcoming season—come into the store to try it out! I love the new tulle skirts. They are perfect for layering in the winter over some liquid leggings and combat boots.

As October comes to an end and the cold weather moves in, it is often easy to get stuck in a gloomy mood. It’s been so hard to get out of my warm, comfy bed every morning to face the freezing outdoors. We still have much more to enjoy in fall, though! November brings more leaves changing colors, chunkier sweaters, hot chocolate and delicious Thanksgiving meals.

The trends of the season will have you excited to get out of bed (well, no guarantees) and ready to brace yourself against the cold! I am currently obsessed with chunky, oversized sweaters, definitely a staple for fall. They’re just the right piece to throw on in the morning before going to class or on a Sunday coffee run.

I love wearing a topknot hairdo and a big sweater. This look is comfortable, doesn’t take a lot of effort yet still looks great!

Layering is another favorite of mine–and a must in order to keep warm. Try a vest in leather or denim this year (both new arrivals in BP).

And, while leggings and jeans are great, it’s nice to mix it up once in a while. Try pairing your huge sweater with a skirt or shorts. Throw on some tights or leggings underneath and boots for the complete look.

Now, don’t forget about your head! I am loving knit berets and headbands.

To sum up this post and the others dealing with fall trends, here are your must-haves to survive the rest of the season:
- Sweaters, sweaters and more sweaters!
- Boots (UGG, Hunter, combat or tall patent leather)
- Scarves
- Leather jacket and/or vest
- Faux fur
-Knit beret and/or headband
Shop the Fall Lookbook from BP.
Stay warm and safe!
XOXO,
Ashley

After cutting my hair short last winter, I have been dreaming about getting it back to the long, luscious length it used to be. Shorter hair was perfect for hot weather, but now I’m growing it back out again. My homecoming dance is this Saturday, and I’ve been browsing blogs and Pinterest to find some cute new hairstyles that could go with my dress. Long hair is still trending — look at all the cute looks the length can get you!
Ombré:
This look was very popular with my friends this summer. They dyed the ends of their hair a bright color, and then let it fade.

Braiding:
A cute way to show off your length, braiding can turn any casual look into a flirty date look! There are too many types of braiding to give instructions here, but Pinterest has an array of many different and cute braided looks. I’m thinking about braiding for my homecoming hairstyle — tell me what you think on the BP. Facebook page!

Soft waves:
This is an elegant way to show off your healthy hair for a dance or even just a dressy day at school. Use a 1.5” curling iron and wrap your hair around the barrel, hold for ten seconds, and release, letting the hot curl rest in your hand so that it keeps its shape for longer. Pretty!

All these hairstyles are fun both for fall and for any upcoming formal events. I can’t wait to see how mine looks!
And some hair accessories for your inspiration:

I have a white headband with a rose on the top that keeps my ears warm on the cold nights in Cali – sounds cute, right?
Til next time!
