British Fashion Awards 2013

The UK’s leading fashion figures assembled last night at the London Coliseum for the 2013 British Fashion Awards. Accolades were bestowed upon 16 fashion influencers, in categories ranging from Designer of the Year to Model of the Year. Find out which brands from our Designer Collections received top honors!

Brand of the Year: “A leading British-based designer brand that has excelled and made an impact on the international stage over the past year with multiple stores, integrated manufacturing, dynamic campaigns and an e-commerce platform.”
Winner: Burberry (Christopher Bailey for Burberry also received the coveted honor of Menswear Designer of the Year)

Womenswear Designer of the Year: “A leading British designer of ready-to-wear who has been instrumental in enhancing women’s fashion in the past year.”
Winner: Christopher Kane

Accessory Designer of the Year: “The leading British designer of shoes, jewelry, millinery or accessories within the past year.”
Winner: Nicholas Kirkwood

Emerging Womenswear Designer: “An innovative and directional designer who is emerging as an influential force in British accessory design.”
Winner: Sophia Webster

International Designer of the Year: “Recognizing a non-British, internationally acclaimed, leading designer who has directed the shape of fashion in the past year, both in the UK and internationally.”
Winner: Miuccia Prada for Prada

Red Carpet Award: “Gives recognition to a British designer who is creating global awareness of their designs in the media.”
Winner: Erdem

Fashion is something that is an indispensable part of your life. You can not imagine your life without it or if you neglect then you are considered as an orthodox. British fashion awards held Last night is a testimony of this.
