Lovers of all music genres, from Mozart to Macklemore, had their senses indulged over the weekend at the stunning Chihuly Boathouse, where the Seattle Symphony presented Club Ludo 2 in partnership with Nordstrom.
Hosted by Leslie Chihuly (pictured left), president of Chihuly, Inc., and chair of Seattle Symphony’s board of directors, alongside her husband, famed artist Dale Chihuly (right), Club Ludo celebrated the inspiration and artistic vision of music director Ludovic Morlot, who is now in his second season with the symphony. Morlot teamed up with Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready to curate the evening’s line-up of pop acts—Lukas Nelson, Chris Friel Orchestra, The Young Evils, Scribes and DJs from KEXP—from Seattle’s cutting-edge music scene.
“We’re so lucky to live here in Seattle among some of the world’s most talented musical artists,” said Mrs. Chihuly. “What better company to partner with for this event than Nordstrom, because tonight is all about local going global. And together we’ve created a really sexy event. I think people are going to have a great time and memory of Club Ludo 2, and they are going to associate that with the Seattle Symphony.”
And no fabulous music scene would be complete without fabulous fashions.
