Crowd Surfing at NYFW, Pt. 1

The people watching at Fashion Week is just as fun as the shows. Lincoln Center, in particular, is constantly flooded with bloggers, celebrities, editors and random bystanders who don’t mind having their picture taken. Here’s a sampling of what I saw today:

This is Project Runway Season 6 contestant Christopher Straub, with America’s Next Top Model judge Kelly Cutrone, whose company, People’s Revolution, is producing several NYFW shows this season. (She gave me a secret password that’ll get me into any of them—yay!)

Love the unexpected lack of heels on this girl’s shoes.

This studded bag reminds me of one by Alexander Wang. I’ve been seeing them everywhere this season!

Love this girl’s breezy, voluminous pants and sweater. She’s probably the most comfortable person at Lincoln Center—without sacrificing style.

Minimalist heels, bright neon Proenza Schouler and a 3.1 Phillip Lim bag—the recipe for a killer outfit. Krystal from This Time Tomorrow rockin’ the large version of the ‘Pashli’ bag I wrote about earlier.

Time for some dinner. I’ll be back later with more Fashion Week coverage!

In some ways the street fashion is even more fun than the runways. And no one does it better than Nordstrom. I live for these posts twice a year. :)

I totally follow that girl with the spike-bottom bag on lookbook… you can buy it here: http://www.shopakira.com/products/cone-spike-shoulder-purse.html

Thanks for the tip, Stokes! Here’s our selection of studded handbags for anyone who’s loving that look.

The bottom-studded bag is indeed Alex Wang. I own it and LOVE it!
