In the Studio with Rebecca Taylor at Her NYFW Casting

Rebecca Taylor is taking a clean and organic approach to fall/winter ’13. Get ready for modern silhouettes, architectural embellishments, color blocking and fabric mixing. With the tone of the collection set, the New Zealand-born designer is determined to show her latest offering with just the right bevy of beauties.

Rebecca and noted casting director Piergiorgio Del Moro (left) were meticulous in their review of each model’s portfolio. British-born model Stephanie Rad (right) patiently waited her turn to present her portfolio for inspection.

Models Ranya Mordanova (left) and Dajana Antic (left) were all smiles, both relatively new faces. Ranya has been dubbed one to watch since appearing in the Givenchy fall 2009 campaign. This is Dajana’s second season at NYFW, and, despite having just flown in from Canada, she looked relaxed and refreshed.

Hailing from London, Leomie Anderson (left) made her runway debut in September 2010 at MARC BY MARC JACOBS and has since graced the pages of Vogue Italia and ID magazines. What she enjoys most about modeling is photo shoots—and she surely looks at home in front of the camera while being snapped by casting assistant Chrissie Guggemos.

Can’t wait to see which models make the cut? Stay tuned for the full runway report from Rebecca Taylor’s February 10th show at 1PM EST.
