Stylist Picks: Sarah’s Top Ten for Anniversary Sale

Sarah, our Personal Stylist Manager at South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa, CA), took time during our busy Anniversary Sale to throw out her most-wanted Anniversary items.

Pour la Victoire ‘Prado’ Tote. This is a great bag for fall! It offers function and fashion at a fabulous price.

Stuart Weitzman ‘Accumulate’ Boot. The perfect blend of classic and tough makes this boot extremely versatile.

Zella ‘Live-In Leggings’. Every girl should own these. I wear mine with oversized sweaters and boots. The best part is, you can lose the boots, put on a Zella tee and head to yoga.

Truth & Pride Perforated Leather Biker Jacket. I am crazy about this leather jacket! It works so easily with other pieces, and its biker cut will rev up your fall wardrobe in an instant!

Paige ‘Skyline Skinny’ Jeans. I love the color of the denim and fit of these jeans. The soft grey is a fantastic neutral that will become your go-to bottom for fall.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Oversized Sunglasses. New sunnies are not a summer-only necessity; as the seasons change, so should your shades. This style pictured is the perfect way to break into a larger frame. Go for it!

Joan & David ‘Quimberly’ Pump. A playful-yet-chic pump is the perfect balance to fall’s knits and leather. Wear it to work with a pencil skirt for a sophisticated look, or rock skinny jeans and a leather jacket for a night out.

Vince Boatneck Tee. Premium basics are a wise choice. You need to have cozy, yet stylish, layering pieces to be ready for any kind of weather. Throw it on under a knit or a leather jacket—this tee can do it all!

Clarisonic Mia 2. This is my number-one beauty must-have! Your skin will glow, and you’ll get the most out of your products. This is a game-changer for your skin.

Rebecca Minkoff ‘M.A.C.’ Python-Embossed Crossbody Clutch. Python is a playful way to keep things neutral while adding texture.

Backstage Beauty: 60s It-Girl at Chris Benz

This was by far my favorite backstage visit today. As soon as I walked in, I had a chance to interview the Lead Artist Daniel Martin for Lancôme Cosmetics. Daniel told me he wanted to recreate the look of France Gall, a French pop singer from the 60’s. Known for wearing statement makeup, she was the it-girl of that era.

On the eyes Daniel used pale lavender shades and white eyeliner all over as the base. On the bottom lashes Daniel used Lancôme Artliner and made a small dotted line along the bottom lashes. It is the most innovative technique I’ve seen thus far. From a distance it looks like you have on am lot of mascara but up close the detailed application is amazing. Don’t forget to do a thin line on top of the eye—not winged—and finish with tons of Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara. So easy to do at home.

To complete this look, Daniel contoured the cheeks and used a new lipstick from Lancôme’s spring collection called Absolut Rouge in Lily Rose—a satin lavender pink shade. One of the eyeshadow qauds used from Lâncome’s Spring 2011 Collection is pictured at left.

Let’s not forget about models prepping their skin. Clarisonic was on hand at Chris Benz using the new Clarisonic Opal on models to create a beautiful glow on the skin. The models loved it, and I wanted to jump in the chair too!
