Nasiba is fast becoming one of my favorite street-style icons. She has a city-girl aesthetic and always adds a touch of the unexpected to her ensembles.

This week, I’ve noticed an emerging monogram trend, and Nasiba’s structured clutch is one of the best examples. New goal: find someone to make me a clutch emblazoned with my name!

Cheralee just moved to the States from South Africa and said this snow will take some getting used to. I appreciate her simple approach to weather-appropriate wardrobe. A lot of bloggers at the tents are all about attention-grabbing, but Cheralee (Miss Lyle Style) stays true to her casual chic aesthetic. A pop of color, print and a metallic accessory are really all you need!

Kim is a real sweetheart! I see her at a lot of fashion events–thanks to her popular blog, eat.sleep.wear–and she always has a smile on her face.

Kim has a youthful, playful sense of style and she says Fashion Week is the best, even if it’s exhausting! For fall, she says we’ll see a lot of leather and peplum details on her blog. Kim’s highlight of the Week? Meeting Lauren Conrad!

The much-anticipated Diane von Furstenberg and Current/Elliott denim collaboration is now available at Nordstrom (let’s talk printed denim pants, printed denim skirt, denim wrap dress…it’s jeanius!).

Also worthy of note: “Writer’s Block”, directed by Gia Coppola, takes us inside the life of a young Hollywood screenwriter, who happens to have a most enviable DVF wardrobe.

It may still be cold—and even snowing—in parts of the U.S. (i.e. Seattle), but that’s not going to stop us from ogling the amazing shoes just released for spring. So long, boots, fur and shearling; hello, sandals, heels and open toes!

We’ll be the first to admit, these spring footwear trends are getting us just a little giddy.

1 – Crafty: Earthy & Woven. Play up your back-to-nature side with heels and wedges decked out in basket weaves, rope details and neutral tones. Make no mistake, the DIY inspirations and hand-hewn details on these shoes are seriously high fashion. [Pictured: Miu Miu Wedge Sandal]

2 – Splashy Glam: Bright & Exaggerated. With electric neons and over-the-top shapes, this footwear trend isn’t for the faint of heart. The only rule of thumb? Go bold, or go home. [Pictured: Reed Krakoff 'Architect' Wedge Sandal]

3 – Charm: Feminine & Playful. Girly goes glam in antique pinks, ankle straps and frou-frou details like bows, ruffles and bitty buttons. [Pictured: MARC BY MARC JACOBS Platform Sandal]

4 – Mid-Century: Mod & Vampy. Take classic, reinvented shapes, ’60s pop and a sultry palette, and you have the recipe for this spring’s alluringly retro heels. [Pictured: Yves Saint Laurent 'Riviera' Sandal]

5 – New Horizons: Neutral & Minimal. Get back to basics with simple straps, wood-grain finishes and elegant silhouettes with an animalistic vibe. It’s desert-chic at its finest. [Pictured: Prada Wood Heel Genuine Python Platform Sandal]

6 – Streamlined: Sleek & Angular. Sandals that look like a Mies van der Rohe ‘less is more’ masterpiece? Yes, please. Look for sharp, architectural shapes in clean black, stark white and lustrous metallic. [Pictured: Diane von Furstenberg 'Elsa' Sandal]

Diane von Furstenberg

“Take time to dream about the kind of woman you want to be, and then become that woman.” –Diane von Furstenberg

Diane von Furstenberg, President of the CFDA, master designer of dresses and now fragrance, shared her thoughts with us on style, her design philosophy and aesthetic. It’s not hard to see how her grace and ease translate directly into her namesake lifestyle brand.

We’re always fascinated to get a glimpse at what inspires an artist—especially one as fantastic as Diane von Furstenberg. From an interview with one of her textile designers: “Diane is very particular about color. One time, she spilled beet juice and wiped it up with a paper towel. She brought in the dried-up towel and said, ‘This is the color that I want.’”

Could this be the result? Known for her bold prints, saturated colors and, of course, the wrap dress, it’s refreshing to know that even a CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award Winner is inspired by simple, everyday things.
