Michael Kors

Hello again, Jillian! Here we have yet another awesome outfit from our master of modern minimalism. I love monochromatic looks and this take on camel tones is perfect for fall!

A chunky knit turtleneck is clearly on the must-have list for the season. Sock statements have been all over the runway and the streets, and Jillian’s rocking a normcore staple in nude. Slouchy clutches have been gaining popularity and this bright blue option is a great hit of color.

No question about it: Margaret Zhang is one of my favorite Fashion Week girls! This blogger (Shine by Three) dresses with a confidence and deftness that belies her years. Still a student, she also manages a successful blog in Australia.

I adore suiting on women, and Margaret’s black and white look is pitch-perfect. I love the contrast, the sleek cut and the relaxed draping of her blouse and blazer. A cool leather backpack is an unexpected but totally clever touch.

Well, hello, fringed shorts! I am so into this quirky look. There are so many interesting little details, but the all-black palette keeps things from getting too out of hand. I’ve spotted that metallic eye clutch all over New York and I’m starting to get a little obsessed. Retro patches are an emerging theme and Giselly’s cropped sweatshirt has some super-cute tattoo-inspired hearts on her sleeve. Those heavy-duty chain boots are yet another statement piece. Way to pull it all together!

Model Jessica Hart looked so incredibly chic this morning at the Michael Kors show. There’s a simple perfection in a monochromatic grey outfit. I love that her separates are slightly oversized, which is perfect for this season’s fit preference. Sleek stilettos and a luxe leather handbag give a little extra oomph to this casually elegant look.

We’ve tallied up the highlights from yesterday’s shows—including Proenza Schouler’s American sportswear shake-up, Michael Kors’s summery ode to ’50s-era optimism, and the latest from BOSS and Betsey Johnson.

Breaking with old-school tradition (per the Proenza Schouler norm), designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough ushered forth an irresistible new take on heritage-minded American sportswear with cutout argyle sweaters, perforated leather coats and open-weave crochet dresses.

This look is so clean and well-proportioned. Fashion blogger Fer Medina (The Fashion State) says that she loves pieces with interesting design elements, like her amazing skirt. The bold stripe pattern and creative cut make a strong statement. I love that she brought in a little bit of pastel, too, rather than keeping her look all black and white. Those Valentino heels are the icing on the style cake!

I am obsessed with stripes, so Andrea’s nautical look is right up my alley. Her sleek, simple set has clean lines and a great sheen. A statement necklace and killer bag are the perfect balance to her modern sailor stripes. That said, a genuine smile and awesome attitude are really the best accessories at Fashion Week. Thanks for making my day, Andrea!

Overalls were hands down the number one trend I saw during the festival season. I personally adore them and have bought way too many already! Now I have another pair to put on my must-have list. The washed grey tone and mid-length cut of Allison’s shortalls make them so comfy and cool. Plus, her accessories are simple, summery and spot on. Love it, Allison!

Having a twin sister must be awesome, what with the whole extra closet to pull from! Junia and Tatya agree, but they also said it’s not always smooth sailing. These stunning sisters have mastered the art of casual-chic summer wear.

Tatya’s shredded cutoffs and thick-soled boots add a little edge to her look, while her bold lip and sleek coif add some sophistication. Junia’s downtown preppy style is a personal fave, thanks to her sleek blazer and classic aviators.
