These are the people we can’t wait to see hit the pavement at LFW. Expect them to pull out all the stops for the second leg of runway shows.
Queen of risk-taking, freelance stylist and senior fashion editor at i-D magazine Julia Sarr-Jamois is street style’s unparalleled It girl. A pioneer of streetwear’s now ubiquitous fashion sweatshirt, the London native boasts a signature fro and enviable free spirit. Usually packing color, texture and pattern into her ensembles, Sarr-Jamois could just as easily throw on perfectly weathered vintage jeans and tees and still stand out among the crowds.
MORE FASHIONABLE FACES TO FOLLOW
Gimlet-eyed Crystal Nicodemus is busy snapping street-style starlets during Fashion Week. Here are her photos to inspire you for next season (or this one), and some wardrobe picks to help you get the look.Michaela looks every bit the modern Italian urbanite. Her mix of a casual tee and chic trousers is fantastic. Side note: Those trousers are gorgeous and I am adding printed pajama-inspired pants to my shopping list immediately. The draped moto jacket is practically a requirement these days, and it works with almost any style. Heels and oversized cat-eye sunnies complete this city cool look.

Tamu McPherson (All the Pretty Birds) is easily the sweetest person at Fashion Week—she always has a smile on her face, even during a hectic shoot! We were crammed between traffic and a construction site at the Prabal Gurung show, but she didn’t let that faze her.
I have a style crush on Tamu, and today’s preppy-inspired look is a fave. I love it all, from those embellished slippers to her bold coral lip.

Sunny day, sunny smiles! These three ladies are some of my favorite fashion mavens around—Elisa Nalin, Tamu McPherson and Natalie Joos. Not only do they have amazing taste, they’re also the sweetest women in the business. They remind me what Fashion Week is really about: a love of fashion and a time to meet up with friends from around the world.

It was a cold, windy Saturday in New York City. The snow finally stopped falling, but the drifts caused by plows made navigating the streets treacherous, especially for stiletto-wearing fashionistas!
I ventured away from Lincoln Center today for some of the uber-hip shows, like Band of Outsiders and Alexander Wang, and was rewarded with a veritable who’s who list of the industry’s elite. From Joanna Hillman to Leandra Medine, everyone braved the wind and snow for a glimpse at next year’s fashion.
Somehow, the crowds and traffic and hectic show schedule only make Fashion Week more fun. It’s so inspiring to be here, right in the middle of the craziness, and I wouldn’t change a thing! Well, maybe less snow, but we can’t have it all. 🙂
