Wes Gordon

Ady’s silk button-up dress was one of the more photographed looks of the day, due to its gorgeous movement in the New York breeze. Her skinny belt cinches the voluminous cut and adds some definition. Ady’s outfit is a chic, feminine take on classic menswear styling, which is a personal favorite of mine. Fashion Week is so full of inspiration, but a flowing shirtdress is definitely at the top of my must-have list.

Glitter & Lace at Wes Gordon

Atlanta-native Wes Gordon, another CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist we’re featuring in selected stores this spring, showed a sparkly, polished collection peppered with creative details—among them, lace-up pant legs, handkerchief hems, dramatic bell sleeves and ankles and Swarovski applique. It’s not surprising to learn that he honed his skills through internships with Oscar de la Renta and Tom Ford.

Gold: A Gilty Pleasure

The allure of gold was too much for many designers to resist in spring 2011 collections. From gorgeous gowns to embellishing details, the runways were sparkling this week.

It’s a dazzling response to our current climate, offering an opportunity to feed your desire for decadence—a clear craving for opulence and hedonism in the form of this coveted precious metal.

Although the era of bling seems a long way behind us, there is no substitute for gold this season. So go ahead, indulge yourself.
