New York Fashion Week starts next week, and we’ll be in the middle of all the action to bring it right to you. It’s such an exciting time for fashion lovers the world over, so we’re amping up our coverage to make sure we—and you—don’t miss a thing!
With the world’s best-dressed people converging on Lincoln Center, we’re sending Crystal out again on the streets to snap pics of all the inspirational style. She’ll also be popping across the Atlantic to cover the streets of Fashion Week at London and Paris to boot. As usual, you can shop the Nordstrom Blog Editor’s Picks to re-create each look with high/low items to weave into your wardrobe right now.
Bonus: We’re also sending Mary, our Senior Features Writer, to report back from the runway shows, after-show party scene and the general fashionable chaos in NYC.
Stay on top of all the excitement at Fashion Week right here and over at our Facebook page, on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest (whew!), all starting next week. Until then, check out what Crystal and Mary are excited about this season.
From Crystal: “I’m back for another round of the Fashion Olympics! New York Fashion Week is the most inspiring and exciting week of the year, and I can’t wait to get started! After months of sporty color, I have to admit I am really looking forward to dark, brooding palettes, regal brocade, and luxe leathers. I’ve just started getting into beauty trends, too, and I’m dying to try out my new gothic, wine-tinted lipsticks. Packing for NYFW is a near impossible task, but the one thing I can’t leave home without is my trusty camera and ever-comfortable Chelsea boots.”
From Mary: “I can’t wait for New York Fashion Week! I’ll be running around town, going to shows and parties, snapping pictures backstage and on the street. This season, I think we’re going to continue to see a focus on bold prints and interesting textures. I’ll also be looking out for the sporty trend that started a couple seasons ago—it’s one of my faves. A few of the shows I’m most excited about are Jason Wu, Rachel Zoe and Yigal Azrouël—keep an eye out for my recaps.”
