Gentlemen, start your ‘staches. To all the Mo Bros and supportive Mo Sistas out there, we salute you. The first week of November signals another year of Movember—and a worldwide spike in the amount of mustachioed men on the planet.
While cultivating mustaches for a good cause during the recently concluded month of Movember, our brave colleagues here at Nordstrom HQ may not have achieved a full Dali, Selleck or Hogan—but we’d say they put in a solid Kirk Hammett or two, and a definitive Young Colonel Sanders.
Keep reading to see final, pre-shave shots of a few of our participating Mo Bros—and read their tips for growing a mustache of your own next Movember (if not sooner; these things tend to grow on you, so to speak).
Having reached the mid-point of Movember—the month during which men all over the world grow moustaches to raise awareness and funds for important men’s health issues—we thought we’d offer some ‘stache-strengthening inspiration from a pro-grower, comedian Nick Offerman, above. So hang in there, gentlemen—and keep on cultivating, even in the face of humble stubble patterns.
Read on to see how some of our colleagues here at Nordstrom HQ are doing their part this Movember.
To honor a month of men’s health awareness (and experimental facial hair), we’re offering a FREE SHAVE SWAP throughout November in all Nordstrom stores.
Even if you’re trying out a dashing new follicular fashion like one of the gents above, you’ll still need to keep it clean around the edges. (We’re confident the guys at bottom-right are sporting an expertly tapered neck area under there somewhere.)
That’s where our FREE offer comes in handy: Just bring in your current shaving-product container (full, empty or in between) and we’ll replace it with a deluxe-size sample from Jack Black, The Art of Shaving, Kiehl’s or Lab Series—your choice.*

Here’s how to get a FREE 2.5 oz. bottle of Kiehl’s ‘White Eagle’ Ultimate Brushless Shave Cream:
Friday and Saturday (June 22 & 23, 2012), bring ANY used or empty shaving cream container (doesn’t matter what brand or where you bought it) to the Men’s Grooming counter at your nearest Nordstrom. That’s it. They’ll recycle your old bottle, and you’ll get an awesome new Kiehl’s bottle to try.
Kiehl’s is one of our favorite men’s grooming brands on the market. They’ve been in business since 1851, so they’ve had over 150 years to perfect their craft—and they still constantly concoct innovative new formulas. This particular shave cream (their most popular) is spiked with menthol and camphor, for an invigorating and super-close shave.
It might even inspire you to try one of the dapper ‘stache styles below, from The Art and Craft of Hairdressing (1958 edition). For more facial-hair inspiration, and incredibly detailed tips on the right mustache for your particular mug, check out this post from The Worker-Dandyist International.
