We’re counting down the crucial pre-Christmas shopping days with a series called Gifted Givers, in which friends old and new share their thoughts on stylishly spirited giving and receiving.
Readers of this blog know that name, they know that face. They know that camera. What can we say? We like Thig Nat’s style, and his insight. We thought you might like his stylish shopping list, so we hit him up for that too.
Our guest editor Thig Nat (right)—a polished professional by day, hip-hop musician and talented photographer by night—possesses an innate sense of style that shines through on the microphone as much as it does in his personal appearance.
Keep reading for a look inside Thig’s creative process as his band, The Physics, heads back into the studio—and to see his favorite fall items that work as hard as they play.
Hip-hop maestro, talented photographer, and Men’s Shop Daily guest editor Thig Nat (short for “Natural”) recently offered us a glimpse into a music/art/charity event that he helped organize and host. Keep reading for stellar photos from the night’s proceedings (which included a performance by Thig’s longtime friend and colleague Macklemore) and to see how Mr. Nat struck an ideal balance between decked-out and laid-back.
Seattle hip-hop visionary and Men’s Shop Daily guest editor Thig Nat (short for “Natural”) returns with field-tested tips on how to pack for outdoor music festivals—a pertinent summertime quandary, especially for a fest that takes you from sweating in the crowd (or onstage, as the case may be) to overnight camping amidst cool winds coming off a 4,000-foot canyon.
Catch up on Thig’s previous posts (Sneaker Project | Spring Classics) and keep reading for his thoughts on getting organized, staying warm, and keeping it simple.
You met him (mostly from the knee-down) in our Sneakers in Seattle video and corresponding Q&A. You might have caught his hip-hop group, The Physics, performing live on globally streaming public radio station KEXP. Your fiancée has probably even heard one of his tracks 1,000 times while analyzing the latest slo-mo wedding video craze.
His name is Thig Nat, and the “Nat” part of his name is short for “Natural”—a reference that applies to his abilities on a microphone as well as his innate knack for wearing classic, versatile clothes that look good without trying too hard.
Keep reading to see how Thig put a modern spin on three menswear staples that he selected from our store: a henley, a trench coat, and slip-on sneakers.
For Episode One of THE SNEAKER PROJECT: SNEAKERS IN YOUR CITY, we asked Seattle hip-hop legends Thig Nat and Prometheus Brown (aka Geo Quibuyen) to show us the best that their hometown (which happens to be Nordstrom’s hometown, too) has to offer.
Get a ground-level glimpse of the Emerald City in the short video above, and keep reading for a Q&A with Thig and Geo, behind-the-scenes photos, and a closer look at their favorite spots around town (as well as those sneakers they’re sporting).
