We warned you and now it’s here: Street Report, our collection of slammin’ fall styles in the category of streetwear—or athleisure, if you will.

You know, the clothes we wear now: the jogger pants, the bomber jackets, the sneakers, the Timbs. Styling concepts that revolve around layering. Silhouettes that look not like a V (for you sharp suiters out there), but more like you.

Check out our Street Report video lookbook, shot at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City, below.

Introducing the waviest streetwear/outdoor gear we’ve ever seen: the new capsule collaboration between Barbour and White Mountaineering. We’re biased because we sell it, but believe us when we tell you we love this stuff.

That anorak with those Timberlands? Too clean! The image above shows a Complete Look made by our stylists at Studio N. And if you thought that jacket might also look good with Stan Smiths, another of our Complete Looks confirms you are correct.

For the inside scoop on the English/Japanese team-up, we reached out to Barbour’s head of menswear, Ian Bergin, and White Mountaineering creative director Yosuke Aizawa.

The ‘90s are back, as you know, and while some styles of that decade perhaps ought not be repeated, others will likely remain fresh from ‘93 til infinity. Timberland boots, for instance. Men’s shirt jackets. And in general, layering.

Did you know Nordstrom began as a shoe store? John W. Nordstrom came to the United States in 1887 and, after cobbling together a modest sum in the Klondike gold rush, opened Wallin & Nordstrom shoes, with friend Carl Wallin, in Seattle in 1901.

Over the years, our founder handed down his avid dedication to the customer (and hands-on knowledge of footwear) to subsequent generations of the Nordstrom family. His great-grandsons still manage the company today—and all started their careers in the shoe stockroom.

Long story short: Shoes are in our DNA. And that’s never more apparent than during our biggest event of the year, Anniversary Sale, when we bring in stellar deals on Fall shoes from wingtips to high-tops. Peruse a few of our favorites below—spotted in the Shoe Shop at our flagship store in Downtown Seattle.
