If you’re a bride-to-be, your wedding day will be one of your most joyous days—and the time you spend shopping for it should reflect the happy occasion to come. That’s why we want to make shopping for you and the whole wedding party an experience you’ll remember almost as much as your big day. We’ve introduced you to our Wedding Stylists, and now we’re excited to announce the impending opening of our first Wedding Suites.
Fully appointed with gowns, bridesmaid dresses, comfy seating for the whole party, extra-large fitting rooms and so much more, our Wedding Suites are the perfect place to sit down with our stylists and make the day of your dreams a reality.
Meet André and Em. We came across their story and were so thrilled to read about their experience while shopping for a dress—with both of their mothers!—in our Tyson’s Corner store in Virginia.
André writes: “A few weekends ago, both of our moms came to town to help Em find a wedding dress. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, right?”
“Our first stop was Nordstrom. My mom was ecstatic to be part of this experience, as she never thought she would be part of wedding-dress shopping. Em and I decided that we wanted both moms to be part of the decision-making process, so Em’s mom helped her in the dressing room while my mom and I anxiously awaited. The first dress she tried on was one that the stylist has chosen for her based on the dresses that Em had ordered. When my mom and I were allowed in the dressing room, I was in awe. She looked absolutely amazing and I would have married her that minute if I could have. Em said she felt beautiful in the dress as well but she wanted to try the others on. The moms thought she looked good but they weren’t convinced.
Em tried on the remaining dresses, but nothing compared to the first one. She felt and looked stunning in the first one when she tried it on again and the moms agreed this time. As she tried on accessories and everyone talked about how she would have her hair, etc., I just stood there and felt like the luckiest guy in the world.
We ended up purchasing the first dress she tried on and canceled our other appointment…It was unbelievably easy to find a dress that day—in less than an hour we made our purchase! It was also awesome to watch the moms bond that weekend. They acted like two old friends, exchanging ideas about the wedding dresses, centerpieces, accessories, etc. I never would have dreamed that wedding-dress shopping could be so easy!”
