Our Global Fashion Trend Reporter, Crystal Nicodemus, took a break from her street style coverage on The Thread to take us backstage at Topshop Unique.

Topshop Unique is one of London Fashion Week’s most coveted tickets, so it was a dream to be granted access to the backstage area. Witnessing the behind-the-scenes mayhem of a huge fashion show was a privilege, even if it was totally overwhelming!

There were a million photographers, models and stylists running around, and the vibe was chaotic and exciting. Then Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne jumped into the mix and the scene got even crazier! Watching the talented stylists prep all the models and seeing what goes into the making of a runway show gave me a new appreciation of Fashion Week.

I had a blast backstage, and I hope you all enjoy this little glimpse into the inner workings of one of London’s biggest shows!

xo,
Crystal

Shop the look with these Topshop Beauty Products:

Face: Topshop Bronzer was used to create a nice summer tan + a pop of Blush in the center of the cheek. The face was kept simple, as the look was all about the eye….

Eye: Metallic Eye Pencil in Pocket Money (spring ‘14) was applied in the inner corner—we love this inner-eye shimmer that we’ve been seeing for spring! Next, apply Grunge Stick in Unkempt (Spring ‘14) over Kohl Pencil around the eyes.

Then apply brown shadow (try Topshop Eye Duo in Woodland Walk) with a clear gloss across the lid, and top it off with Volume Lash Mascara.

Lip: With the emphasis on the eye, the lips were kept nude—try Topshop Lipstick in Nevada or Lip Bullet in There She Goes.

Nails: Metallic Nail Polish in Heart of Gold with Glitter Nail Polish in Ice Crush on top.
