Sunscreen, sun protection, sun care, UVA, UVB, SPFs … there are so many choices and a lot of jargon when it comes to taking care of your skin in the sun. Sometimes you just want an expert to tell you what they wear, how they wear it and why they love it.

NATY LOK

Now that summer is here, sunscreen is a must for me, and I carry these products everywhere I go to make sure I stay protected throughout the day. They make it super easy to touch up, and they never run or cause my makeup to look cakey.

1. Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder SPF 15: My go-to touchup powder. It’s super slim, compact and leaves my makeup looking fresh and natural all day without a heavy look or feel. I love that it comes with a convenient little puff. Plus, you can’t beat that it has your sun protection added as well! I also make sure to press the product into the skin rather than swiping; it gives a more natural look.

2. Dior Crème de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm SPF 10: Our lips need some love too when it comes to sun care, and this is one of my ultimate favorite lip balms for the day. It is nice and creamy, super hydrating and plumping as well. I use it during my morning routine alone, and I carry it with me to touch up. The great thing is that you can apply on top of or mix into any lip color you want (I’ll usually use a lip brush). Trust me, this product lasts a long time and is worth the price.

3. COOLA Suncare ‘Classic Face’ Makeup Setting Spray SPF 30: Here’s another little gem that I’ve added to my purse recently (it’s amazing for traveling). I am constantly looking for the newest additions for sun protection–especially something for touchups, since we should be reapplying every two hours. I apply right before I leave the house to set my makeup and easily reapply it during the day too. It not only instantly hydrates, but leaves you protected as well. Just remember: don’t get too close to the face, and you’re good to go!
