Hasn’t every girl dreamed of modeling a beautiful dress on the runway? Well, I got the chance! At my local Nordstrom, the dresses department held a fashion show featuring their prom dresses. They invited all the BP. Fashion Board girls to participate, and I jumped at the chance.
Alexis started things off with a gorgeous printed dress from Lauren Ralph Lauren and gold sandals from Nina.
Alexis followed up in a jersey V-neck dress by Calvin Klein.
On the more orange side, Gloria modeled a pleated chiffon maxi by Eliza J with Sam Edelman sandals.
Sydney showed off the “shimmer” trend by rocking a sequined cutout dress from Aidan Mattox.
Who says prom dresses have to be long? I modeled a short chiffon and shimmer dress by As U Wish with gorgeous Steve Madden pumps.
Bella twirled in a Max & Cleo pale yellow dress with subtle shimmer on the sides.
Alexis showed off some more sparkle in a JS Boutique one-shouldered gown.
Kristy kick-started the “bold blues” trend in this Adrianna Papell charmeuse gown.
Gloria followed up in this adorable cutout dress from Hailey by Adrianna Papell.
Sydney incorporated two prom trends by modeling a blue high/low dress from Hailey by Adrianna Papell.
I absolutely loved wearing this strapless high/low dress by JS Boutique.
Alexis looked stunning in this bold red high/low dress from Jessica McClintock.
Bella shimmered in a black mini with chiffon overlay from Hailey by Adrianna Papell and Flounce sandals.
Kristy rounded out our show in this gorgeous high/low dress by As U Wish.
I hope you saw some dresses that you loved! Check out the Prom Shop for more dresses, accessories, shoes and everything else you’ll need for a gorgeous prom.
Recently, my local fashion board had a fashion show. We all picked out our outfits and accessories from the BP. department and then rocked a runway. The show was a ton of fun, and it was so interesting to see how all the girls styled their looks. Everyone’s sense of style was so unique—my friends on the board created combinations that I never would have imagined.
My friend Anna captured my dramatic hair flip. I think Tyra would have been proud. It was great to be a model for a day… even if I am only 5’2″!
This weekend was my Fashion Board’s annual fashion show! We featured fall and upcoming winter trends such as Bewitched and Sno Patrol. There was a lot of faux fur, oversized sweaters and leather out on the runway.
I wore the Frenchi ‘Drop Needle’ Tunic Sweater in cream, the Jack Faux Fur Vest, the BP. ‘Motorbike’ Faux Leather Panel Leggings, the BP. Chunky Knit Beret in black and Steve Madden combat boots. My look combined edginess with the comfy coziness of the Sno Patrol trend. I like how the beret added a Parisian touch that made my outfit stand out.
The faux-fur vest was such a hit! Check out who else wore it:
Even though we each wore the same piece, we were all able to create our own unique looks!
There were also different denim trends present, with varying colors and patterns. Check out my friend’s Vigoss Print Zigzag Skinny Jeans and my other friend’s Jolt Colored Stretch Denim Skinny Jeans in Lavender.
Another friend went for the Bewitched theme with a Frenchi Tulle Skirt in black, a maroon collared blouse, black tights and a touch of Sno Patrol with the Rubbish Faux Fur Collar Cardigan. She also added some adorable accessories. I love how she wore a rhinestone headband across her forehead!
We had so much fun strutting down the runway for our families and friends in our favorite BP. merchandise!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month! Most all of us have had some connection to breast cancer in some form or another. In order to show your support to survivors, those currently struggling with breast cancer, and friends and family of those who have/had breast cancer, wear pink this month! Whether you go all out or just add a touch of pink to some of your outfits, it's a great way to spread awareness!
There are so many different colored pants out there. Pink jeans are an easy and trendy way to show your support!
Even incorporating a touch of pink with a scarf will do the trick! Not to mention it will also instantly boost your outfit with a pop of color.
Don't be afraid to think outside of the box!

Some things to remember about breast cancer are:
-Self-exams are very important!
-Active women are less likely to develop breast cancer
-If it's caught very early, breast cancer has more than a 90% survival rate in the US
-Getting enough of the Vitamin B Folate can help reduce your risk (found in leafy green vegetables, beans, and fortified cereals)
I don't know about you, but I have very high expectations for this month! My calendar is already filled from October 1st to the 31st and I can't wait for it all to get started!
My homecoming is this week, so that means lots of dressing up, decorating and of course the football game!
My Birthday is in a of couple weeks, so I am currently searching for the perfect birthday dress!
I love all of these options from BP!
I have a couple of hayrides on my calendar. I am definitely buying one of these plaid shirts from BP to keep me warm and comfortable while still looking cute!
I have also been brainstorming some Halloween costume ideas. I'm thinking about dressing up as Audrey Hepburn, but I haven't finalized anything yet… Check out Emily's post for some costume ideas!
Candy corn, apple cider, pumpkin carving, falling leaves, haunted house visits, closed toe wedges, oversized sweaters, patterned tights and infinity scarves are just a few other things that I know will make my October even better!
What fabulous fall outfits and accessories will you be wearing as you take on October?
It's finally fall and I'm so excited that it is officially time for my favorite season of fashion! There are so many things to look forward to!
These are just a few of my favorite things about fall…
Boots: Riding boots, studded combat boots, colorful rain boots, I know that I will be living in boots all fall and I can't wait to buy a few more pairs!
Flats: Flats are the fall replacement for flip-flops or sandals and they're adorable, so investing in a pair or two is definitely worth it!
Sweaters: Like Emily and Ashley and fashionistas everywhere, I can't wait to layer on the cardigans and pullovers in every style and pattern.
Tights and Leggings: Tights create endless possibilities. My summer skirts and dresses can make the transition to fall effortlessly with the help of boots, a jacket and of course, tights. I'm also loving leggings in crazy patterns. BP's new leggings are exactly what I'm looking for!
Scarves: I'm going to be accessorizing with scarves all season long. Scarf Sunday's anyone?
Dark Nail Polish: All of the browns, purples and oxblood colors are so fall. My nails are currently polished with a light brown chocolatey color.
Homecoming, Halloween, hayrides and pumpkin spice lattes are also on my list of things to look forward to! What are you most excited for this fall?
Have a great week and make this your best fall ever!
Something I can blog about a million times and not become bored of it is Sweater Weather. Fall means sweaters, boots, socks, scarves, tea, rain, and so many more warm cozy things. So I figured I would begin with my favorite fall fashion item, the classic sweater!
As I browsed through online shops today, I noticed that sweaters are being taken to a whole other level! Sparkles, pictures, buttons, you name it; it is on a sweater somewhere! Crazy right? Take a look at Fall's craziest new sweater designs!
Ashley blogged about these recently, but I figured that if I saw them a million times today, you guys could see them twice. The fun abstract patterns bring a bit of fun to your typical fall ensemble.
These sweaters are grabbing the fashion scene by storm. The girly print brightens up any look easily. Be even more daring by pairing a pair of your polka dot skinnies with a matching sweater for a look right off the runway!
The bow is making a comeback from your primary closet! Either attached to the hem or sewn into the sweater as a pattern, the bow is hot for fall.
Regardless of the style, sweaters are fabulous with any outfit. I picked some fall inspired outfits with sweaters to show you guys how I like to wear mine!
Shop for sweaters in BP right now! They have so many cute choices.
Going along with the modern grunge theme, studs are huge this fall! Would you be daring enough to rock this edgy trend?
I love how bold studded denim is! My goal is to wear either a studded denim jacket or shorts in the upcoming month. Go back in time with these vintage inspired looks..
You could take it up a notch by sporting studded leather. Let your inner rebel run free with these eye-catching looks..
Think this is all too much for you? Add a touch of edge to any look with some studded accessories! I especially love the studded collars. They're the perfect combination of grundge and prep!
The focus of my most recent fashion board meeting was shoes! Everyone has been loving the combat boots, especially the studded ones. Studded oxford style flats and heels are also making an appearance this fall!
Here are some of my other favorite studded looks…

This Chloe K Studded Collar Chiffon shirt is one of my favorites!
Tom's is the most inspirational company that I have ever come across. In just a short summary of their message, they strive to bring shoes to unfortunate children and adults in underprivileged countries. For every pair purchased, Tom's provides a pair to a child in need. The least we can do is purchase a pair of these shoes! And they make it so easy to do so by creating so many cute designs!
I came upon the Tom's booty in heather grey recently. They are to die for! I absolutely adore them with a simple black skinny. Toms have taken me many places. Make what you do in your Tom's count! I packed up a paper bag of goodies to bring to the local food bank in my town!
First I started with a check list of various canned goods and long shelf life items:
I continued packing items until the bag was full and then I was good to go!
When I was all done, I made sure I snapped a few pics of my amazingly cute new booties! Tom's never ceases to amaze me with their wonderful styles and colors.
I took the bag over to Harvest food bank along with a few other items but I left my camera at home! Mistakes happen, am I right? Packing these goods into the back of my car and leaving them at the shelter made me realize all at once the amazing opportunities I have been blessed with in this life. I forget to take each simple aspect of my life into consideration from day to day. Just being able to pick from a few pair of flip flops is a choice that not everyone can make. Reaching into my fridge and picking out a few things for lunch is a luxury as well! Tom's opened my eyes this summer as I spent time researching their company and checking out the new branches of the company such as their eyewear line. I have been getting a group of friends to collect the water bottles at my school from trash cans to put in recycle bins for money that goes towards purchasing books and supplies for my school district. Simple ideas can turn into amazing solutions. Try it out!
Here I am in a few of my other favorite Tom's.
Toms even got me through my first day of Freshmen year! Look at baby Emily!
Tom's website gives a ton of info on their company and their message. Check it out! I encourage and support their cause completley. A pair for a pair. They now have sunglasses as well! Cute and Charitable.
What an amazing cause! I have fallen in love with the new corduroy Tom's. Tell us which ones you are loving!
