Pastels here, pastels there… there seems to be pastels everywhere this spring! French macarons, delicate florals, Sofia Coppola films and strawberry ice-cream all come to my mind when I dream of pastels.

I’ve picked some of my favorite Nordstrom pieces, so we can all add a bit of pastel perfection to our spring wardrobes.

I think this look is quite perfect for Easter Sunday. Fun, girly, and extra peachy! Also, doesn’t this necklace look like peaches & cream?!

This second outfit is my personal favorite and ultra modern. I imagine that the scalloped white tee would look like clouds on top of this pastel blue skort… it’d look like an “absolute dream.” (Yes, I’m currently reading “The Great Gatsby.”) 🙂

Whether they’re purple or pink, I adore these skinny jeans. Her impeccably girly style must be the reason why I could totally see Lauren Conrad rocking these pastel pants. Also, if pastel pink or purple had a scent, it would definitely be philosophy’s ‘amazing grace’ perfume.

We’re soaking up the sun here on the West Coast—flowers are blooming, the sun is shining and spring is right around the corner. But while that may be so, the temperature is still pretty chilly here in Seattle, so we’re reaching for things like this blazer to transition us through the changing seasons.

elodie print blazer | $48

Why we love it:

The color. The light pink color makes this blazer perfect for the sunny weather. It’s a welcome change from the dark greys and black of winter.

The print. We also love the sweet little print. The dainty abstract dots keep the look modern and interesting. Don’t be afraid to mix it with other prints in your closet, either!

The shape. The style of this blazer, with its shawl collar, curved hem and looser fit, creates a casual silhouette that’s great for dressing up or down. Pair it with a simple tee and jeans or throw it over a springtime dress—you can’t go wrong.

Made for Madewell

Madewell: effortless, classic and cool. There’s really no other way to describe the beautifully minimalistic brand. Madewell was made for the easy-going girl who loves simplicity, dainty prints and absolutely everything denim. No, really, Madewell gets denim right on SO many levels. I truly love this brand, so here’s a few looks featuring mainly Madewell products plus some other fun Nordstrom accessories. 🙂

Look 1
Keep it simple in a printed silk tee + high-waisted denim. Complete this boho look with an outback hat and you’re ready to take on any adventure.

Look 2
Is it just me, or is this second look just comforting to look at? Cozy cardi, delicate blouse and a pair of skinnies—yes, please! Not only does this outfit work for any casual occasion, but the layers also make it suitable for (most) weather conditions. Just bundle up in this thick cardigan and some leather boots if there’s a chilly breeze…

We’re having beautiful weather here in Seattle (sorry, East Coast!) and we’re eagerly looking forward to spring. It has us reaching for lace and pastel colors, like this cute lace shift:

hero

lace shift dress | $48

Why we love it:

The easy shape. We love the silhouette of this dress—it isn’t too fitted, which makes it easy to wear, but the shorter hem keeps the look fresh and flirty.

The bell sleeves. When we look at these sleeves, we can’t help but think about the ’60s and ’70s. We love that this little dress incorporates that boho style while still making it modern and new.

The breezy style. We can’t attribute the dress’s airy nature to just one element—everything works together here to create a carefree look we can’t pass up. If you have a free-spirited spring/summer in front of you, you’re gonna want this dress in your closet.

We spend so much time talking about clothes, but sometimes an outfit is all about the details. In that spirit, we’re turning our attention to one of our favorite layering pieces this season: the triple chevron necklace.
hero

triple chevron necklace | $16

Why we love it:

The boho style. We seriously love the vibe of this necklace — we see it paired with a flowy Free People top, a sweet hat and fringed bag for that effortless one-with-the-wind look.

The layering option. This little necklace is perfect on it’s own, but because of it’s delicate nature, it also goes great with other lightweight chains. Layer it with some of your favorite necklaces (like this one or this one) to get the trend.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! And we’re getting into the lovey-dovey spirit with this adorable red lace dress:

herolace skater dress | $48

Why we love it:

The lace. When you see lace, don’t you automatically think romance? No matter who your Special Someone is this year (hellooo BFF), go ahead and dress up in this flirty lace dress.

The color. This red is perfect for Valentine’s Day. It shows you’re getting into the spirit of the holiday, but isn’t so over-the-top that you’ll never wear it again. We can absolutely see this dress paired with tights and a jacket in the winter, or paired with a lightweight scarf and sandals this summer.

The fit. The fitted bodice and flared skirt gives this little number a feminine look. Don’t be shy about playing up your girly side!

Meet O.C.C.

If you weren’t already aware, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (O.C.C.) is a super cool cosmetics company and I want to give you guys a quick down-low. O.C.C. is a 100% vegan and cruelty-free makeup brand. It was founded in 2004 by a New York City makeup artist, David Klasfeld. His motivation to create this brand was his desire to feed the needs of makeup artists who craved more options in color, texture and selection.

After using these products, I think Klasfeld has succeeded in his mission. They felt completely innovative!

I especially love that they have lip tars in four styles: primer, matte, metallic and stained gloss.

You need barely any product and the application is flawless. Just apply a little to the back of your hand from the tube and apply to your lips with a lip brush or finger.

They also have extremely creamy, quick and easy application colour pencils. They can be used as multi-purpose products. Here I wear it as a lip color and as an eyeliner.

We don’t highlight accessories often in our picks of the week, but this bucket bag is too good to pass up. Can’t you see yourself with this little thing slung over your shoulder? We can!

herobucket bag | $38

Why we love it:

Use it any season. We love the look of this bag because it’s so versatile. Both the Black and the Cognac colors fit right into winter, but also totally transition into your go-to summer bag.

The size is perfect. It isn’t too big that you can’t take it on a hike, but it isn’t so small that you can’t fit anything in it. Load this baby up with all your must-haves, pop it over your shoulder and be on your way.

The details. The bucket-like shape of this bag goes well with boho styles and biker-chic alike. Plus the golden hardware and the playful tassel? You can’t go wrong.

We’re in the middle of January, and we can’t stop our obsession with coats and jackets. So when we saw this peplum moto jacket, we had to show it off. It’s too cute not to!

heropeplum moto jacket | $58

peplum-jacket-back

 Why we love it:

The coated finish. We love that this jacket is coated to give it a sleek leathery look. It enhances the cool moto vibe and gives the jacket an edgy, on-trend texture.

The girly peplum. The ruffled peplum hem adds a flirty, feminine touch that’s so perfect for this jacket — it adds a light-hearted finish that balances the edgy moto style. Not to mention it hits at just the right spot to highlight your waist!

Plus, this jacket also comes in a creamy ivory color — it’s perfect for spring!
