DIY: Personalized Monogram Letter

I have been absolutely obsessed with DIY crafts lately and this one is by far my fave. Recently I made some of my friends these personalized letters for their rooms, and judging by their reactions, they were a hit! The best part? This project costs less than five dollars to make. I mean, cute and cheap—not much that’s better.

• Wooden letter (found at any craft store)
• Scissors or an Exacto knife
• Glue (I used spray glue but any will do)
• Pictures

Step 1
Collect your pictures and lay them out how you want. The number of pictures you need depends on what letter you use, but somewhere between 10 and 12 should be enough. I chose a “beachy” theme for this project, so I used pics of me and my friends, as well as some beachy pics I found on tumblr and Pinterest.

Step 2
Now it’s time to start gluing! Place the first picture you want to use on your letter, then roughly trim off the parts that stick out. Then glue that picture down and trim it to exactly the edges of your letter. This is where an Exacto knife really comes in handy; it’s much more precise than scissors.

Step 3
Repeat step 2 with the rest of your pictures, gluing and trimming until the entire letter is covered with gorgeous pictures.

And there ya’ have it! You are left with an adorable customized letter for under five dollars! You can decorate your room with it, or, like I did, give it to a friend. Just beacuse the holidays are over doesn’t mean you have to stop giving gifts. V-Day is coming up, so what better way to show your friends you love and appreciate them then with this? Haha. 🙂

Like always, I hope y’all enjoyed this post and I’ll see you soon…via blogaverse, of course.

Yours truly,
