When it comes to cooking, I can fry an egg, but thats about it. When I saw these doily holiday cookies, I knew I had to at least try making them. To make sure my cookies were edible, I decided on store-bought cookie dough. If you’re looking for a last-minute, super easy, fun recipe, this one’s for you!
Heres what you’ll need:
– Cookie dough (I used pre-made sugar cookie dough from the store)
– A Doily/Anything you can create an impression with
Step 1: Prehead the oven to 170 degrees C or 340 F.
Step 2: Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
Step 3: Roll out dough on parchment paper
Step 4: Press the doily onto the dough with a rolling pin and roll.
Step 5: After carefully peeling away the doily, cut out your cookies with cookie cutters
Step 6: To help keep your doily pront, freeze your cookies for 15 minutes just before baking.
While waiting for the first batch in the fridge, my mum had an idea to use a crystal snowflake to make an impression on one big cookie. It turned out pretty cute!
Step 7: Bake for 12-15 minutes (follow the instructions on your dough package) or until edges are a golden brown.
