Life Size

I love to pack my downtime full of movies and food. I happen to have a bit more downtime than usual this summer, so I was able to revisit some tween-hood favorites. Remember Ice Princess? The movie that made every 10-year old want to be a figure skater? Okay, how about The Cheetah Girls (1 and 2). “Growl power!” At age 11 it was Aqua, Chanel, Dorinda, Galleria and the fifth Cheetah Girl, Aya.

I went down memory lane with these movies, then I just happened to catch Life Size on the Style Network.

Not only does Life Size feature my favorite model (next to Chanel Iman and Dudley O’Shaughnessy), Tyra Banks, but it also happens to be a 12-year-old’s fashion dream. Don’t you just love the scene where Eve goes shopping? And nothing is better than the tagline: “She was a perfect doll. Now she’s the real thing.” It promoted something rare: realness.

What are your favorite tween-hood movies?

The Lizzie McGuire Movie was my favorite. I may or may not have “What Dreams Are Made Of” on my phone…
