Senior Portraits

I just had my senior pictures taken! I can’t believe that I’m finally a senior. The coming year will be so bittersweet, but I’m really looking forward to it.

For the longest time, I couldn’t decide what I wanted to wear for my casual pictures. I was torn between looking trendy or going for a more classic look.  In the end, I decided to dress simply. I chose a white blouse, black jeans, a statement necklace and my Katz shoes.

Here are some tips for looking your best:

1. Go classic. You don’t want to look back at your senior portraits in a few years and say, “What was I thinking?” Try not to wear anything that will go out of style soon.

2. Stay away from patterns. You never know what the background for your photos is going to be. Stick with solids to ensure that you don’t clash. Make sure that you stand out, not your clothes.

3. Don’t experiment. Pick something tried and true for your hair and makeup. You don’t want to experiment with a new hairstyle just to have it turn out badly. Save that complicated braid for another day.

Good luck to my fellow seniors! I hope that all your portraits turn out beautifully.

Stay beautiful,
Samantha
