I can’t believe the time has come to write my very last Nordstrom blog post. It seems like just yesterday, I was boarding a flight to Seattle, where I would meet the amazing BP. team and my fellow bloggers. It’s all been such an incredible experience, and I’ll hold onto these memories forever. Boo—this is so sad to write!
Let’s make this last post a bit sweeter by looking back at some great memories.
Pumpkin spice lattes, plaid everything, the crunch of crisp fall leaves … wait, what? It’s only August—and 90 degrees out!
This pretty much sums up my current state of mind, absorbed in everything autumn but conflicted because it’s still summer. So here are a couple of outfit ideas to help you transition from summer to fall and get excited for the upcoming season.
I think this is a pretty good balance of summer and fall. The denim skirt adds an autumnal touch, but it’s still very summery with its A-line cut.
Plus the colors in this top remind me of falling autumn leaves. Just remember to keep cool with lighter fabrics when wearing deep fall colors.

Yikes, it’s that time of year…yeah, I’m talking about back to school. Depending on when you return, August or September can be pretty stressful. To help get past the dreadfulness that comes with summer ending, why not load up on supercute back-to-school accessories?
The brand that has it all is ban.do: agendas, pencil pouches, travel mugs, and, uhhh, best of all—STICKERS (and I mean like really, really cute stickers). Just looking at their products will increase happiness levels.

We all know that in the summer, it can get pretty hot. For me, one of the best ways to cool down is with a refreshing spritz of perfume or body spray.
This summer, the scent I wore the most and absolutely adore is Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana. The Light Blue scent is the epitome of summer: It’s fresh, light and smells like pure sunshine.

By now, you’re all probably familiar with Pop-In@Nordstrom and the one and only Olivia Kim. This month’s Pop-In Shop, Warby Parker, has me particularly excited. It’s possibly because I can’t live without my glasses. No really, I’m kinda a grandma when it comes to my eyesight. LOL!
If you’re a glasses lover yourself, I promise you’ll fall for Warby Parker and their stylish frames. What’s also really cool is that when you buy a pair of glasses, another pair is given to someone in need.
Here are a few of my favorite frames!

(FYI: Shopping for optical glasses will take you straight to the Warby Parker site.)
We may still be taking beach trips and soaking up the sun, but believe it or not, fall is right around the corner. What better way to get ready for autumn than by shopping for some new fall shoes? Here are three of my favorite booties for the upcoming season.
#1. BP. ‘Daphne’ Bootie
To me, this first pair just screams fall. They seem like a simple and durable pair of boots, but there’s still character with their earthy brown hues and that cute front strap. The chocolate color is my personal favorite, but they also come in black and navy.
#2. Steve Madden ‘Grroupie’ Gore Bootie
I’ve been dying to get a pair of Chelsea boots and fell in love with these! In fact, they’re currently in my shopping cart. I love the classic, all-black look, and I know they’ll match absolutely everything.
#3. BP. ‘Trott’ Bootie
Writing this post is dangerous: I just added these booties to my cart as well … oops! The red color is just too good, and the heel is perfect for anyone looking for a bit of extra height.
What booties are on your list for fall?

I don’t love wearing much color, but I still love looking for inspiration in bright and festive tones. I snapped these up-close photos of traditional Indian outfits and bangles during my stay in London.
All the vivid hues have inspired me to print these photos and create a colorful mood board.
Aren’t they beautiful? Whether you like wearing color or not, I hope these rich photos inspire you to incorporate more color in your life!

I think everyone can agree that in the midst of summer, we tend to spend more time outdoors. While I definitely enjoy typical outdoor summer activities like swimming and hiking, one of my favorite pastimes is spending time in the garden.
Inspired by just that, today’s outfit is perfect for sipping tea in the garden or attending a daytime soiree. The boots add just a touch of edge.

Today’s segment of my travel series features a very touristy day at England’s Stonehenge.
Before we headed out, I took a quick overhead shot of my outfit. I know, I know–it’s not very summery to be wearing a flannel, denim jacket and boots, but since the weather here in England is pretty unreliable, I wore lots of layers.
Located in Salisbury, Wiltshire, Stonehenge is considered a wonder of the world. The reason for its mystery is that no one knows who placed these massive stones or how they got here at all. What’s also pretty crazy is that the stones are from prehistoric times–they were constructed in 3000 BC!
Are any of you venturing to historical sites this summer? If so, comment below!

Hello from the UK!
While I’m sure it’s quite warm in the states this summer, it’s a bit chilly over here in England. For any of you traveling to colder climates or for those random gloomy summer days, here’s a simple outfit for staying comfortable.
Jeans | Top | Jacket | Sandals
On these kinds of days (this day was particularly windy–hence the crazy hair), I still like to dress “summery” by wearing sandals and loose tops. On the other hand, it’s also a good idea to be prepared for the weather by covering up with a pair of jeans and a denim jacket.
