Recently, the funky fun jewelry brand, BaubleBar, was introduced to Nordstrom. BaubleBar was founded by two besties that wanted super trendy jewelry at guilt-free price points. Since then, the brand has become known for its “more is more” attitude. I’m personally a huge fan of bright statement jewelry, so I’m really excited to start shopping this brand.
Here are a few of my favorite pieces from the collection:
SHOP: Blue Pendant Necklace| ‘Peacock’ Earrings| Bracelets and Cuff| Pink Pendant Necklace
From hamsas to wishbones, lucky charms of all kinds are surfacing in BP. jewelry. Most of these motifs have been around for centuries and have fascinating cultural backgrounds and significance (I’m one of those people who Googles everything). But even if you’re not interested in the histories behind these symbols, you can still enjoy the look.
The zodiac pendants are my favorite part of this trend because your sign is personal to you. If you’re not sure what your zodiac sign is, find it on Seventeen! I’m an Aries (:
Featuring: Rachel Zodiac Pendant|BP. Stud Earrings (Set of 3)
Here are some of my other favorites (I promise that they’re extra lucky):
I can’t wait to see how you incorporate this trend into your jewelry routine, so post a picture on Instagram, and don’t forget to #NordstromBP.
BTW, happy birthday to all my Libra girls out there!
I’m loving earrings right now! I always love a little (or a lot) of sparkle, so I usually go for crystal-looking earrings. And I have two ear piercings, so I like to wear different sets of earrings in each set of holes. I top things off with an edgy ear cuff, which makes it look like I have a cartilage piercing—but I didn’t actually have to get one.
Here are a few of the new arrivals in the BP. jewelry department that leave me smiling from ear to ear:
Left: If you’ve got a sweet tooth for pastels, try the BP. Rhinestone Frame Post Earrings.
Right: This Trend Earring Set is really cool because you can wear them all together and they’ll look amazing.
Left: If you love a little sparkle like I do, go for the Rachel Cubic Zirconia Stud Earrings.
Right: For an edgy finishing touch, the Rachel Dangling Cross Ear Cuff is just right.
I was flipping through some magazines after school today and I kept seeing the same thing over and over: arm candy. Bracelets, bracelets and more bracelets in three different magazines! They’re such a fun accessory to layer because you can just go crazy. With bracelets, allmost any shape, color or quantity goes.
Layers of bracelets can scream casual summer or polished chic. It all depends on which ones you choose.
The Spikey Pearl Bracelet (top) and the Rhinestone Arrow Spring Cuff (bottom) would be perfect to wear as arm candy.
I especially love to add watches because they give a little bit of extra pizazz. How many bracelets can you wear?
For my 16th birthday, my mother gave me a beautiful silver and gold Michael Kors Watch. I had never been much of a watch wearer, but I’ve had this one on every day since I received it.
Beyond being functional, watches are great accessories. They can dress an outfit up or down. If you don’t like a large watch (mine is pretty heavy), bracelet watches are a good option; they are smaller, lighter and can almost blend in with your other bracelets.
I have compiled a bunch of watch options to fit any personality or situation. Bright, colorful watches are good for school, the beach or a movie night with friends. Delicate, jewel-encrusted watches are better for a date night or formal dinner/party.
These sporty watches by MICHELE, Marc by Marc Jacobs, SPROUT Watches and Lacoste are super fun with their bright colors and playful accents. Check out the cool cork strap on the SPROUT!
Bracelet watches like the ones below in neutral colors are timeless staples in your jewelry box. Watches by Anne Klein, COACH, Badgley Mischka and kate spade new york.
These four are my favorites! The kate spade confetti watch is so playful, but it is also classic with a simple black leather strap and round face. The MICHELE ‘Sport Sail’ Chronograph Watch has a timeless quality; the brown leather strap and the stopwatch features give a utilitarian feel while silver detailing keeps it sophisticated. I love the Titanium Two Face Watch, which is so unique and has a green strap to keep it youthful. Finally, I am a fan of the Miami Beach ‘Glam Rock’ Watch because of the simple gold mesh strap and the bright red face.
Wearing a watch might not make you more punctual, but at least you’ll be fashionably late!
