Valentine’s Day Donuts

I saw these DIY donuts on Pinterest a couple months back and nearly squealed at how adorable they were. And since Valentine’s day is coming up, I couldn’t think of a better excuse to try out these fun, yummy desserts.

What you’ll need:
-Pillsbury Grands buttermilk biscuits (they do NOT get flaky)
-Vegetable oil
-Bottle cap

My toppings of choice:
-Chocolate frosting
-Festive V-day sprinkles

Step 1:
Start by taking your biscuits and laying them out on the counter. Then take a bottle cap and place it in the middle of your biscuit, pushing down until you’ve made a hole, just like a donut!

Step 2:
Now take a medium-sized frying pan and heat it up over your stove, because this is where the fryin’ begins. Pour some oil into your pan and VERY carefully pick up your biscuits with some tongs, placing them in the pan.

Step 3:
Cook your biscuits, now turned donuts, until they look nice’ n’ brown and make sure the middle is done.

Step 4:
Now comes decorating! I wanted a variety of donuts so I went with chocolate and cinnamon sugar.

Since I’m making these treats for Valentine’s day, of course I had to cover them in pink and red sprinkles. Heart-shaped ones also included!

Yours truly,

These look amazing! Is there any reason why the junior section was taken down from the fashion blog?

    I meant the website

Hi there! We were sad to let go of the juniors’ department, but at the end of the day, it made more sense to merge BP. and Savvy into one convenient location where you can find Topshop, Lush, BP., and all our other amazing brands in the same place.

We’re really excited about it – glad you are, too!
