There’s something about weddings that I absolutely adore. Maybe it’s the beautiful venues, the bridal glow or the smell of fresh flowers—or perhaps it’s a combination of all these small details that make a wedding a wedding. While I like to think of myself as an independent woman who doesn’t need a man, I am secretly quite the romantic. About a month ago, I attended my brother’s wedding. For the first time, I realized that getting married is a BIG deal. In a world full of “Teen Mom” and “Jersey Shore,” I think we tend to diminish the magnitude of commitment and forget the beauty of love. Marriage isn’t about just finding someone you can live with, but finding someone you can’t live without. At the young age of 18, I don’t completely understand it, but I can appreciate it. I just feel so lucky that I got to be a part of this joyous event as a bridesmaid. As promised a few posts ago, here are some pictures from the lovely day:
My cousin and I posing by the gazebo.
The venue, a mansion near the ocean, was absolutely beautiful.
My baby cousins bouncing towards the water. They look like little popsicles!
The first dance! *Pulls out a tissue and wipes eye*
Of course, a beautiful sunset to end the night. That has to be good luck, right?!
