Get the Look: Street Style at Tibi

New York Fashion Week Fall 2017

Photos by Kristin Yamada

New York Fashion Week is in full swing and the bundled-up style couldn’t be cooler. As designers play with seasonlessness on the runway, the bloggers, Insta-stars and editors in the streets are finding fun ways to wear spring trends now. (We’re taking notes.) Here are some of our favorite looks so far, plus shoppable links so that you can emulate them.

Olivia Barr at New York Fashion Week

Count ’em: if three’s a trend, we’re ready to call these angular shades the sunglasses style of the season. But Olivia Barr clearly isn’t afraid to juggle several fashion crazes in one getup. She’s also sporting a camo field jacket cloaked in another street favorite this week: a furry coat.

Saint Laurent 59mm sunglasses | Saint Laurent patch camo military parka | kate spade new york jewel button faux fur jacket

Celine Aagaard at NYFW

As though we needed any more evidence that the hoodie is the fashion item du jour, Vetements went and released their collaboration with Champion for spring—and the streets of New York look like a ’90s high-school locker room. But leave it to Envelope′s Celine Aagaard to make the gym-class style look Scandi sleek.

Jenny Tsang at New York Fashion Week

We’ll always endorse a practical approach to the weather. (There’s nothing stylish about shivering.) Jenny Tsang worked up a sophisticated combination appropriate for the conditions. A cute pair of Gucci booties peeking out from a raw hem incorporates the timeliest trends, too.

Charlotte Groeneveld at New York Fashion Week

As refreshing as a slice of citrus, Charlotte Groeneveld′s tangerine dress is a welcome pop of sunshine in a sea of wintry coats. Her puffer jacket and fashion sneaks speak to the seasonality and functionality of her style.

@Traci if a fashion designer publicly endorses discriminatory practices (whether personal, political or otherwise), it’s the duty of their business affiliates (such as Nordstrom) to hold them accountable. Nordstrom is not in the politics game – Ivanka is – and it’s Ivanka’s problem to deal with the repercussions of aligning herself with controversial political practices while also being a fashion designer in the public arena. Ivanka has an office in the White House, you cannot deny that she condones the dangerous and discriminatory policies set forth by her father.

@Traci, Nordstrom’s decision to stop carrying Ivanka’s brand is due to poor sales. It has nothing to do with politics.

You stopped selling Ivanka Trump’s products. Shame on you for buckling under the media and mainstream public political pressure. That goes both ways, I stopped supporting stores like yours. Attacking the President and his family by withdrawing your support is a disgrace.
