Bobbi Brown’s Militant Beauty at Tibi’s New York Fashion Week Show | Backstage Beauty

Working with Tibi’s gender fluid soldier vibe, Bobbi Brown’s Cassandra Garcia worked to create the most basic of beauty looks, steering away from femininity and towards natural neutrals.
With a nod to military elements, Garcia re-imagined Tibi’s masculine inspiration with modern and feminine defining details for an effortlessly cool beauty look. Fresh clean skin, paired with a wash of caramel tones on the eyes and cheeks gave a monochromatic base, which was perfectly complimented by soft natural-looking lips.A softly hued, yet heavily layered khaki-tinged eye was as bold as Garcia took it, using Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Taupe and adding a bit of shimmer with the line’s eyeshadow in Camel (the same shadow cleverly used to define the brows), finishing it off with Everything Mascara. Anomalously un-highlighted skin received a dab of bronzer on the apple to connect the buff lid to the neutral pout, simply lacquered with the Art Stick in bare.Messy tresses looked worn and effortless after using Aveda’s Thickening Tonic, Brilliant Universal Crême and Shampure Dry Shampoo for a pump of volume. Not sure where to start? Throw on some hydrating eye and face cream before applying the brand’s Skin Foundation Stick and perfecting with a corrector and concealer combo. Top off your look with nails à la Jin Soon Choi, who created a mani to complement the collection with a muted gold shade inspired by classic military insignias.
