Get the Look: London Fashion Week Street Style at Burberry, Roksanda, Mother of Pearl and Amanda Wakeley
Gimlet-eyed Kristin Yamada is busy snapping street-style starlets during Fashion Week. Here are her photos to inspire you for next season (or this one), and some wardrobe picks to help you get the look.
Candice Lake is a blogger, model, photographer and supermom who does it all. Her style is always incredibly ladylike and chic, but today she adds an extra bit of sexiness while stunningly showing off her beautiful baby bump. Green has been a prevalent color in London, from these gorgeous mint tones to darker army and forest hues. Perforated and mesh textures also have been recurring themes. Thanks, Candice, and congratulations!
Blogger Victoria Magrath (In The Frow) is feeling her neutrals today and has put them together in a super-fun mix. Solid separates are sophisticated, while neutral-blocked accessories add a playful twist. Turtlenecks and culottes carry on as must-have silhouettes, and round tort sunglasses polish off the look. Thanks, Victoria!
Print designer Kelly Harrington is known for her love of denim. Thus it has been no surprise that she has totally owned it in multiple forms throughout London Fashion Week. Here she is rocking dual denim separates with engineered distressing and the now-practically-mandatory frayed edging. Double coat layering has also been popular this season. What is particularly fantastic about Kelly’s take is that both of her coats would be incredible just by themselves. I love the beautiful color and embroidery detail on her under jacket and the oversized volume of her parka. Well done, Kelly!
Margaret Zhang is back again and, naturally, up to her usual never-trying-too-hard coolness. In a season for great coats, this double-breasted trench is a winner. It looks impeccable and also just feels so easy. Leather pants continue to trend, and the front slit detail on Margaret’s pair makes them a standout. Lace-up heels are right on point and red, in general, is building momentum in footwear.
