Get the Look: Paris Fashion Week Street Style at Acne, Mugler and Dior
Gimlet-eyed Kristin Yamada is busy snapping street-style starlets during Fashion Week. Here are her photos to inspire you for next season (or this one) and some wardrobe picks to help you get the look.
Today Caroline Issa is bringing dark romance to Paris. Floral prints are massively popular and this style grounded in black is poetic and alluring. Her lace-up booties have a historical nod and bit of gothic edge. While mixing brown and black was once considered impossible, this combo is now one of the hottest color trends and Caroline rocks it stunningly.
Irene Kim is one style star that knows how to have fun, with both her look and all of us on the streets. Her smile and exuberant energy brightens the mood even on the coldest fashion week day. Irene’s trademark is her playful, multi-color hair, and today her ensemble would seem dyed to match. Overalls are a popular theme, and this fitted pair has a cool ’70s vibe. Her bold, bright sweater and metallic bag, however, point 80s. Loving the retro mashup, Irene!
Stylist and designer Natasha Goldenberg is part of the insanely trendy Russian fashion pack. While she hangs with the likes of BFFs Miroslava Duma, Ulyana Sergeenko and Elena Perminova, Natasha has a style all her own. A cropped moto jacket is city cool, paired with her feminine floral dress. Pussy-bow neck ties continue to be a popular detail. Loafers are in high demand in the realm of footwear and I love her ruffle socks. Natasha is also a queen of accessories and her statement mismatched earrings are particularly standout.
The classics are making a strong return to the fashion wardrobe. Leandra Medine (The Man Repeller) is a perfect example today in a beautiful, crisp suit and striped shirting. She is donning the sweater scarf trend we’ve seen so much of this season as well. A tied bow peeking out from the neck adds a dash of signature Man Repeller quirk that we love so much. Thanks, Leandra!
