Get the Look: Street Style at Elie Saab, Mugler and ACNE Studios
Gimlet-eyed Crystal Nicodemus is busy snapping street-style starlets during Fashion Week. Here are her photos to inspire you for next season (or this one), and some wardrobe picks to help you get the look.I can’t tell you how much I love the casual chic interplay that has been so popular this season. Denim is obviously a must-have, especially with raw edges and a high waist. Peju’s pair has a retro edge that adds an interesting contrast to her sleek white jacket. Red patent low heels add some sweet color to the look.
I am in love with this skirt. The knotted waist, subtle structure and modern stripes are all cutting edge. It’s the perfect tailored fit for Daniella’s statuesque frame. A crisp, menswear-inspired button-up is a well-chosen complement to the statement skirt. Daniella’s accessibly conceptual, cool look was a standout for me today.
Model Cris Herrmann is more than ready to hop on the back of her Vespa and head to the next show. Paris traffic is no joke, especially during Fashion Week, and many models choose a moped over a car service. Luckily, the moto jacket continues to dominate the style scene. A slightly oversized fit works well with skinny pants and chunky boots. Cris is a perfect example of effortlessly cool off-duty model style.
Another show, another knockout look from Helena Bordon. Leather continues to trend strongly for fall and this sleeveless turtleneck piece is modern and sleek. Perfectly cut black trousers are a must for every closet, but I particularly love the subtle wrap details of these chic pants. The structural bag is another major theme this year, and Helena’s Louis Vuitton has just the right touch of graphic contrast.
