We like being the first to try new things. We’re what marketing folks call early adopters. That’s especially true when it comes to tech and cosmetics.
So we’ve found a winning mashup when it comes to makeup.
Nordstrom Del Amo Fashion Center and Nordstrom Downtown Seattle are the first two locations in the world to have Lancôme’s Le Teint Particulier technology. This revolutionary system begins with a facial scan that constructs your exact skin tone from a combination of more than 20,000 pigments. Once uploaded to a computer, your unique complexion ID is built—it’s like Mom always said, “You’re special.” Indeed, the match is uncanny.
But it doesn’t need to be definitive. Lancôme beauty advisors will help you decide if you want to go a bit warmer or cooler, lighter or darker. You also choose the amount of coverage: sheer, medium or full. Once you’ve determined your mixture, the machine gets to work, layering in shades, blending, shaking and dispensing. (It’s a very industrious little bot.) The whole process takes about a half hour.
The foundation’s formula is also new to Lancôme. Long-wearing and fragrance- and paraben-free, Le Teint Particulier also features 24-hour hydration and micro-fill technology so you’ll look glowing and flawless.
This gadget might also be a time machine.
