Paris Fashion Week: September 28
At Akris, creative director Albert Kriemler showed a collection of precisely cut, monochromatic looks, many with textural, graphic motifs inspired by Russian artist Kazimir Malevich’s Suprematist works.
KENZO’s Carol Lim and Humberto Leon chose a skate park to present their latest collection and the backdrop of angular, pale-grey concrete provided a perfect complement to looks that merged a sporty modernity with feminine softness.
And, as with past collections (just do a quick “KENZO Tiger Sweatshirt” search), there was a highly recognizable sweatshirt we expect to see on cool kids everywhere, post haste.
Rich handbags with bold, brassy hardware and free-spirited suede sandals were standouts at the lovely, languid Chloé show (dedicated to the brand’s late co-founder, Gaby Aghion).
