Our Designer Preview Runway Show
Last Thursday night marked our 27th annual Designer Preview event in Seattle. We host runway shows in numerous cities across the country, previewing the hottest looks from the fall designer collections before they hit stores. Check out a few of our favorites below.
Taking bets on which Hollywood starlet will sport this Lanvin dress first. Katy Perry, perhaps?
It’d be impossible NOT to feel like French royalty in this perfectly cut Lanvin frock. Bisous!
Jason Wu goes utilitarian-chic. Check out the lace embroidery!
Dolce & Gabbana brought the color this year—not to mention enormous (and incredible) gold cupid earrings.
Siiiigh. This silk Marni flower dress gives us heart palpitations.
And only Marni knows how to make seemingly geriatric flats into high-fashion works of art.
Okay, so maybe Dolce & Gabbana wasn’t the only design house bringing the color. Hello, Missoni!
It’s a rare dress that looks best from the back. Missoni nails it.
Feeling chilly? Michael Kors just arrived to warm you up with a furry hood and…short sleeves? Hey, it’s cute!
Classic glamour. That’s Kors for you. Proves the Project Runway judge really does know his stuff.
Can we stop and talk about how awesome this Dries Van Noten print is? The image says “vintage kung fu” while the cut says “modern couture.” Not a likely combination, but total perfection here.
Dries Van Noten also takes the cake in eveningwear. The Long Black Dress—is that a thing? You heard it here first.
Time to delve into the wonderful world of Marc Jacobs shoes. Sparkly pilgrim buckles, anyone?
We tried to focus on the clothes, but couldn’t stop looking down. Bravo on the footwear, Mr. Jacobs.
Hats off to Donna Karan for breaking out the glitter and gloves. Always a fail-safe combo.
Business up top, party on the bottom. Thank you, Donna Karan.
It’s a dead heat for coolest embroidery between Jason Wu (shown in the first image) and Stella McCartney (above). Which is your fave?
McCartney also kills it in the lace department. So polished!
Let’s get down-to-Earth with a seriously wearable Nina Ricci sweater. Talk about adorable. But wait…
Surprise! Back buttons! So clever.
Erdem steals the stage with a sexy black suit, perfectly paired with patent leather pumps.
Speaking of sexy and black, this Akris jacket caused quite the stir. Blouse optional.
And now, for the finale look …
Oscar de la Renta, naturally. The man practically invented grandeur. Can’t imagine ending the show any other way.
Hope you liked our fall preview! Stay tuned for scene shots of our seriously stylish attendees.
