SPACE Stories: VETEMENTS, Shrimps and Creatures of the Wind

It’s like our Creative Projects curator and director, Olivia Kimsaid in a recent
interview with the newly rebranded vogue.com:

SPACE is really meant to be a platform to introduce our customers to another aspect of what designer fashion could be, this advanced and emerging designer world.”

As part of that world, we’re building interviews and erecting behind-the-scenes stories with the talented fashion minds behind our exciting brands. Find out who we’re talking to now, and what they’ve got to say about the French word for “clothing,” the music of the fall collections, and grannies on Instagram.

From our interview with VETEMENTS designer Demna Gvasalia:

“The key words for us are authenticity (location, casting), dynamics (the way girls and guys walk, the speed and their attitude), lighting (just good enough for people to see the clothes) and last but not least: music.”

From our all-access pass to the mood boards and muses of Shrimps designer Hannah Weiland:

“My nana is very amazing; she is 91 years old and still wears high heels. Her first job aged 14 was a milliner’s assistant, so she has always had an eye for detail. She likes to color coordinate all her outfits, and always matches her nail polish and jewelry, too.”

From our conversation with the duo behind Creatures of the Wind:

“Like when I hear music from the late ’60s and early ’70s, it’s about the colors and the clothes. It’s about your personal interpretation of the thing.”
