Style Profile: Kelley Culp, Editor
As the editor-in-chief of the Sundance Channel’s Full Frontal Fashion, Kelley Culp is responsible for the editorial direction of one of the web’s most talked-about fashion portals. Here, she explains how her personal style comes together.
How do you describe your style?
I like classics: a striped shirt, cropped trousers, trench coat, LBD, etc. But I like to pair them with totally impractical accessories, like neon bracelets, huge necklaces and insanely high heels.
What inspires your style?
Traveling. That’s maybe an obvious answer, but you have to see how other people live in order to find new inspiration and ideas.
What are you wearing this week?
A snow suit. Kidding. I’ll be wearing a mix of coats, military, faux fur and heavy wools; hopefully I’ll be able to wear my pajamas underneath and no one will know. That’s the only saving grace about Fashion Week in winter. It’s all about outerwear.
What is your fashion motto?
Try everything once.
What’s your most treasured possession?
My photos, but since we’re talking fashion, I would say my caftans. I collect them, and I plan on living in them once my body has stopped looking its best.
The accessory you couldn’t live without?
I have a couple CHANEL necklaces that have stood the test of time.
What’s your signature fragrance?
Opium by Yves Saint Laurent.
