Street Style: Noelle Outside Lincoln Center

Noelle Sciacca is such a sweetheart. There were a lot of unhappy people trudging through the slippery slush today at Lincoln Center, but Noelle smartly planned ahead. She said her white boots are a snow-day necessity, and she makes them look fantastic. Noelle’s outfit is a cozy winter minimalist master class. Her neutral layers are on point, thanks to the light palette and various textures. A fuzzy pom beanie is the perfect whimsical topper.

Street Style: Zanna at Badgley Mischka

Hello again, Zanna! It’s always a pleasure crossing paths with the beautiful Zanna Roberts Rassi, both for her amazing fashion sense and her lovely personality. She’s a joy to photograph, which goes a long way when you’re standing in the snow for hours trying to get a shot!

Zanna’s pale pink suit is to die for. I love suiting for women, so this is one of my favorite looks of the day, hands down. A moto-style jacket adds some edge.

Street Style: Jenna at Badgley Mischka

Jenna Gottlieb would fit right in back home in the Pacific Northwest. From her hunter plaid to her hiking boots, this is one classic outdoorsy ensemble. Jenna is a senior fashion writer over at Lucky Mag, so she knows how to navigate a New York winter fashionably. I love the functionality of this cute and cozy look. Stay warm, Jenna!

Street Report: Julia Outside Badgley Mischka

Well, look who it is: Seattle’s own Julia Dudko! Although she’s still a student at the University of Washington, Julia has managed to build quite the following for her personal style blog, Society Grl. She says she loves fashion and, of course, shopping at Nordstrom!

Julia’s Lincoln Center look is all about subtle drama. I love this draped sleeveless dress. It’s the perfect cut, the perfect length and the perfect relaxed fit—the trifecta of perfection! Julia’s modern mules are a must have this season, too. See you back in Seattle, Julia!

Badgley Mischka Opens First New York Store

For 28 years, Mark Badgley and James Mischka have been elevating the notion of effortless glamour through their jointly designed Badgley Mischka line. The newly married pair are making 2013 a year to remember with the opening of their first New York flagship store on Madison Avenue.

To toast the glorious occasion, the talented twosome invited a host of scenesters and VIPs—House of Cards actress Kate Mara, Canadian Idol singer Carly Rae Jepsen and supermodel Petra Nemcova—to tour their new space during New York Fashion Week.

“We searched for a store in the city for about five years. All we could find were these little white boxes on Madison Avenue. We really wanted something that had character, little nooks and a real residential feeling,” says Mark (pictured left). “When we found this place on East 64th Street & Madison it hadn’t been used in years, so we gutted it and created an elegant, homey atmosphere.”

Patrick Gerard Carmody is the architect behind the renovated space, while Mark and James decorated the interiors of the storefront.

Badgley Mischka’s timeless designs have graced countless red carpets on the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Winslet and Jennifer Lopez.

For the 2013 film awards season, the team dressed Helen Mirren for the Golden Globes and Queen Latifah for the Oscars.

We offer Badgley Mischka ready-to-wear apparel in selected stores. For assistance, please contact a Designer Specialist at 1.877.543.7463.

Mark & James by Badgley Mischka

Elegance, a little glamor and just the right touch of modern, feminine detail. This is what Badgley Mischka is known for, and it’s why the label is coveted by women of all ages and celebrities from Sarah Jessica Parker to Helen Mirren.

Over the last couple of weeks, Mark Badgley and James Mischka have visited a few of our stores to personally present their Mark & James shoe line, now available at Nordstrom.

ShoesTV was on the scene at our Fashion Island store to interview the designer duo and ask them about their collections. Badgley describes Mark & James: “it’s a great collection. It’s a young. It’s a little funky. It’s edgy…and these shoes are a little less formal. There’s a lot of leather, a lot of stretch, a lot of platforms and stacked heels. It’s not just a red carpet shoe; it’s a shoe that hopefully women will put on in the morning and wear all day long.”

Watch the complete interview, and shop the Mark & James line in store and online.
