Cole Haan Extraordinary Women Interviews Style Video

Karlie Kloss and Christy Turlington Burns Are Extraordinary Women—but We Already Knew That

What good are expensive pumps with a broken heel? We like our style with substance. The same goes for our fashion icons: women who are merely pretty without purpose can’t reach the status of role model, even if they are supermodels. That’s why uber-models Karlie Kloss and Christy Turlington Burns are in a class of their own. Each lady founded an organization dedicated to bettering the lives of women. Christy is the founder of Every Mother Counts, an international nonprofit that helps provide skilled health care for moms-to-be and their infants. As the founder of Kode with Klossy, Karlie offers coding summer camps and scholarships for young women, with the hope of lessening the tech gender gap.

There really couldn’t be two better spokeswomen for Cole Haan’s “Extraordinary Women, Extraordinary Stories” fall campaign, an exploration of the impact of our relationships and actions in the world.

Asking for a Friend: How to Keep White Sneakers White?

Our stylists love to recommend white sneakers because they go with everything. And they do. Whether you’re dressing up or dressing down, please believe there is a white sneaker for you.

Once you find it, you will need to decide: is this a sneaker that looks good slightly dirty? Because yes, that’s a thing—some of the coolest sneakers out right now look filthy.

But if you answered “no,” that’s completely normal. And perhaps you’ll want to know: How should I keep my white sneakers white?

Two words for you: Jason Markk.

That’s the brand name of the shoe cleaner you need, made by Jason M. Angsuvarn, whose company is the first name in the pursuit of spotless sneakers. Check out the videos below to see how to use Jason Markk to clean your white sneakers.

Street Style: Betty at Rebecca Minkoff

Betty is really working the genre mix today. Her checked wool dress and turtleneck feel very retro feminine, while her black leather accessories add some serious city edge. Socks are having such a huge moment on the trend scene. Betty’s scalloped socks, paired with adorable patent loafers, balance her vintage inspiration and modern styling.

Street Report: Model Outside Richard Nicoll

Off-duty model style is a genre all its own. Models are immersed in the Fashion Week world on the runway, and yet manage to convey their personal style on the street. This gorgeous gal is right on trend for fall with her oversize knit and leather leggings. Slicked-back hair and a subtle red lip complete the look.

Street Report: Jenny at 3.1 Phillip Lim

If you all don’t already know, I am a huge lover of all things vintage, so Jenny’s look caught my eye immediately. There’s something so feminine about a full skirt and flats, à la Audrey Hepburn.

Jenny’s ensemble has a touch of whimsy, thanks to her funky sweater, and I am obsessed with her full, textural coat in that perfect shade of baby blue.

Crystal
