To Hayley Paige, there is nothing more beautiful than a woman in love. In what could be the most high-pressure position of all time, the bridal designer gleefully helps women dress for the day that most of them have been dreaming, planning and Pinning about for years prior to their first fitting. “Sometimes it feels like the most stylish trust fall of all time,” she says. Like a magical fairy godmother to each of her brides, it is easy to imagine Paige wielding a wand until the Lumi ballgown appears, shimmering and ethereal for the modern-day, fashion-forward Cinderella.
Hayley Paige designs have a magical quality to them: With billowing chiffon skirts, sparkling gossamer tulle and wildly romantic, plunging necklines, each of her gowns embodies a modern-day Cinderella story, with the designer as the princess’s loving and devoted fairy godmother. Since 2011, designer Hayley Paige has been responsible for thousands of fairytale endings, thanks to her enchanting and imaginative wedding gowns.
When it comes to finding the one, Paige says, “It should be love at first sight.” Ahead, seven real brides share the Hayley Paige dress that swept them off their feet and made them feel like a real-life princess on their wedding day.
Inspired by the Los Angeles sunset, Melanie and Michel exchanged vows during an intimate, golden-hour ceremony, surrounded by their friends and family.
Melanie, tell us about the location.
We had a guerrilla wedding—meaning, we didn’t have any permits! We rented a big, yellow bus, ran atop a hill and just prayed for the best. We picked Bee Canyon Park in Grenada Hills based on quietness of the area and two giant trees right on the hill—a palm and a pine. We chose our reception venue, The Odyssey, because our original venue canceled on us eight weeks before the wedding! It turns out they had a sister venue in the area that was even more beautiful. We like to think The Odyssey chose us.
In May, Emily and Gary exchanged vows along the sunny seaside of San Diego, surrounded by their dear friends and family.
Emily, tell us about the location.
I’m a Navy brat. I was born in San Diego and spent most of my childhood there. Growing up, whenever my dad was leaving or coming home from deployment, my mom, brother and myself would go to the harbor and watch his ship. There was no doubt in my mind that would be the location of my wedding. Gary also proposed further down the peninsula, overlooking downtown San Diego.
Earlier this May, high in the San Bernardino Mountains near Lake Arrowhead, Jessica and Randy tied the knot at a romantic creekside cabin resort, surrounded by their closest friends and family.

We knew we wanted to get married in the mountains from the moment that Randy and I got engaged. The mountains and the outdoors were always our go-to while we were dating, and of course, Randy proposed in the mountains. We knew we wanted an outdoor, rustic-elegant wedding, and Pine Rose was the perfect venue. Hidden Creek at Pine Rose Cabins is a secluded venue surrounded by massive trees, with a beautiful creek that runs into a pond.
At a Mediterranean-style winery, Caitlyn and Alex toasted to their future during a late-summer wedding that radiated with warmth and good times.

We wanted an outdoor ceremony and reception, my husband is from the area, and we both love wine, so it only made sense to have the wedding at a winery! Tagaris is a special place for us. We would go there every time we were in town visiting family. They have a beautiful outdoor patio with a stage, bistro lights, fire pits, fountain…all the feels. Not to mention their wine and food are to die for! So Tagaris was a no-brainer; when we got engaged, we knew that it would be the perfect wedding venue for us.
Mary shares the fun details of her and Matthew’s wedding day in the revived downtown sector of Cleveland, which provided plenty of stunning photo ops to capture their celebration’s rustic glamour.
We really wanted our wedding details to complement our style and the city we love! We chose to host our rehearsal dinner and reception in downtown Cleveland because we wanted our guests to experience the city’s revitalization and share in the great food and fun.
Our rehearsal dinner was held at the Music Box Supper Club on the West Bank of the Flats. In choosing our reception venue, the view was a key part of our decision. We toured the Club at Key Center and it was exactly what we imagined. It boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings and an amazing view of downtown Cleveland and its lakefront.
We had the extreme privilege of being flies on the wall at real-life, bride-to-be Hannah Schultz’s appointment at our Wedding Suite. Not every woman would let a crew of people (not to mention a camera!) into a private dressing area, but Hannah was as gracious as she was convivial. Though she’s a wedding planner herself and old hat at attending wedding dress appointments, we were still honored that she agreed to let us document and share her personal Wedding Suite experience.
Joined by her family, Hannah spent a few hours trying on a handful of beautiful wedding gowns—along with the help of wedding stylist Rachael Sanchez—in search of “the one” to wear to her fall 2017 wedding. Read on for more about Hannah, some sage stylist intel on gown shopping and lots of gorgeous dresses.
