5 Barre Workout Moves at Home (Slash Anywhere) with Fitness and Zella Pro Lilani Estacio | Watch This

Sometimes you don’t have time for the gym. Sometimes you don’t even have a membership to a gym (or that resolution-driven trial already expired). Sometimes you don’t feel like going to that group class because, ugh, all the reasons. That’s where we step in with five barre-inspired workout moves you can do anywhere brought to you by Bar Method instructor and Zella Pro, Lilani Estacio.

With a degree in nutrition, a background in dance as a performer and as an instructor for almost six years, Lilani is a go-to guru when it comes to anything fitness. We asked her to show us five of her favorite barre-inspired moves you don’t actually need a barre for. Get your fit on whenever the mood strikes (or maybe more likely, when you’re just able to find a little time to spare). From a better booty to thigh-sculpting leg lifts—all in, it’s a 10-minute-or-less workout you can tackle wherever you can find a floor.

Fresh, Natural Makeup for Night | The Realest, Beauty Edition

For our most recent installment of The Realest, our real-woman model Caitlin Braam showed us around her office—a brewery and cidery where she is president of both companies.

We spent the day photographing her around her workplace and outfitting her with new dresses to try for spring. Since we had a hair and makeup artist on hand as well as a photographer, we thought we’d share how to get her fresh, minimalist and perfect-for-spring makeup look. Bonus: artist Jamyrlyn Mallory takes it from day to night with a pop-of-color lip and just the right amount of bronzer and contour from the new NARS Hot Sand Collection. Pretty. Easy.

Beer, Hard Cider, Spring Dresses and a Little Foosball with Caitlin Braam | The Realest

Why should models have all the fun? Each month we’re finding a “real woman”—i.e., of any shape and size—and giving her the model treatment in The Realest. We bring the wardrobe, stylist, photographer and blog editor—she brings her anything-but-one-size-fits-all personality and style—and we all head out on location for an IRL photo shoot to showcase our monthly Dress Spotlight.

This photo pretty much sums up our day with the lovely Caitlin Braam—a lot of laughing and having a good time around a brewery. But it wasn’t just some random brewery. Those industrial tanks behind Caitlin are an everyday sight for her, since she has to walk past them to get to her office at Two Beers Brewing Co. & Seattle Cider Company. For the past five years, this woman who defies convention has been developing the business and marketing plan for a successful Seattle brewery and cidery. And as of this week, she’s officially been promoted to be the president of both companies. Congrats, Caitlin!

But there’s much more to Caitlin than being an impeccable brand ambassador and consummate host to our crew for this photo shoot. This ex–TV reporter is a Foosball lover, mountain climber, DIY-er, flirty fit-and-flare dress lover and one of the most down-to-earth presidents on the planet. Read on for more about Caitlin and her style, some beautiful spring outfit inspiration and a couple recipes she loves for hard cider cocktails. Cheers!

A day in the life: “Honestly, there is no ‘normal’ day, and that’s the way I like it. Depending on the day/the time of year, I may be traveling for the launch of a new state selling our products, pouring at a local beer or cider event or giving a tour at our tasting room, The Woods. There’s plenty of email and computer time thrown into the mix, but there’s never a day where I just sit at my desk.

“I thrive on diversity, and the chance to have people taste our products and learn more about our companies. It’s fun, and I think it’s rare to love your job as much as I do. As far as the ideal weekend, I’d spend half outdoors, hiking with my husband and dog, and the other half on a home renovation project. A pair of hiking boots one day, and a nail gun the other, and I’m set.”

Party Dresses, From Cocktail to Ballgown | The Realest

Why should models have all the fun? Each month we’re finding a “real woman”—i.e., of any shape and size—and giving her the model treatment in The Realest. We bring the wardrobe, stylist, photographer and blog editor—she brings her anything-but-one-size-fits-all personality and style—and we all head out on location for an IRL photo shoot to showcase our monthly Dress Spotlight.

Meet Leah Watkins, a talented fashion designer and self-described jack of all trades with personality to spare. Not to mention just a lovely human being. We brought her to the quirky Palladian Hotel and spent the day playing around the boutique accommodations. Because, why not? Our only regret was having to leave the one-of-a-kind pillows behind.

Holiday Party Dress Ideas--Sequins

On dressing for a party: “If I’m going to a cocktail party, I’m going to want to feel beautiful and sexy without showing everything off. I like to show a little hint of skin and let the imagination do the rest. I love hemlines short, but sometimes I just want to evoke the spirit of Stevie Nicks and dance around in a floor-length maxi dress. I tend to gravitate towards black, and I don’t mind a little sparkle here and there.”

On her style: “My personal style is really influenced by motorcycle culture, rock & roll and the ’60s and ’70s. I definitely dress according to my mood, so some days I might wear lots of flowing florals, and some days I’m head to toe in black. I love vintage and try to incorporate at least one special and unique piece with every outfit. Nothing spices up an otherwise simple outfit like a great hat, a printed scarf or a very unique bag. One thing I can’t live without is my leather moto-jacket. It goes with everything!!”
