Introducing the Cat-Eye 2.0 | Fashion Week Beauty Trends

Winged eyeliner, the pinnacle of Hollywood glamour and the little black dress of makeup, has finally received the upgrade it deserves. Since the days of Marilyn Monroe, Anna Karina and Brigitte Bardot, the coquettish flick has remained mostly unaffected by the changing times—until now. With all eyes on the runway, backstage beauty experts produced a bevy of fresh cat-eye looks, introducing audiences to a range of new shapes, colors and highly desirable drama. Below, we present Fashion Month’s best liner looks (plus shoppable links) that usher in a new era of feline flicks.

Street Report: Eva Outside Emporio Armani

Oh, Eva, you are too good to us! Not only is the amazing Eva Chen, editor in chief of Lucky magazine, incredibly stylish, but she is also the sweetest. It’s so refreshing to see a smile in the midst of the Fashion Week scene. Eva’s contemporary cable knit jumper is beyond covetable—I love the tonal palette and varied textures! A cool pair of cat-eye shades and strappy sandals with socks are fun and funky accessories to her cozy transitional look. Can’t wait to see what Eva has in store for us in Paris!

Street Report: Ece Outside Gucci

Ece Sukan is a staple on the Fashion Week circuit, and deservedly so! She has played so many roles in the fashion world, from magazine editor to TV host. Ece has incredible style and always manages to stay true to her personal aesthetic.

I love this laid-back look, with its hints of preppy chic. The monochromatic blue unites the subtly mixed prints of her separates, and menswear-inspired loafers and a classic buckle bag are wonderful complements.

Street Report: Shadi Outside Rebecca Minkoff

While it may seem quite simple at first glance, Shadi’s outfit was one of my favorites of the day. As a stylist, Shadi understands how to balance cut, palette and proportion in a creative way. I love this oversized crop blouse, especially when paired with a sleek midi skirt. Her low-heeled sandals and patterned clutch add just enough leather to the modern minimalist look. And her fantastic haircut is most definitely going into my inspo file!
