Fashion Week Street Style

Street Report: Greta & Katelyn at Milly

These ladies have completely disparate styles, but both look fantastic. I love Greta’s bright colors and chic shorts, and Katelyn’s classy-lady ensemble.

Greta, an eco-fashion blogger, and Katelyn, a PR exec from Chicago, say they have been having a blast at Fashion Week. They say they’re loving classic prep looks for fall, but that parkas are a must for a Chicago winter. Well, they’re in luck, as parkas are making a comeback!

Street Report: Rachele & Lauren

It’s great to see how two people incorporate a trend into their individual style, and these ladies prove there’s always a way to add color-blocking flair.

Rachele and Lauren say Blake Lively is their current fashion inspiration, but they are “fashion fans” and love it all. For fall, they’re excited to break out their tall boots, blazers and wide-leg jeans. And, they add, “You can’t go wrong with leopard print!”

Street Report: Jamie at Michael Kors

I have such a soft spot for vintage dresses, and Jamie looks beautiful in her retro sheath. The eye behind From Me to You, Jamie says she loves the femininity and class of vintage garments and looks for inspiration in 1930s films.

Tailoring and tweed are on her fall checklist, and she is excited about the resurgence of vintage-inspired design. Just like her idol, Grace Kelly, Jamie is elegant and poised.

Street Report: Keiko Lynn at Vera Wang

Fashion blogger Keiko Lynn is rocking one of my most desired fall pieces: the blazer vest. I love how she mixes her ladylike blouse with an edgy blazer and animal-print pants. And it works!

Her color palette is fantastic, and I love that she matches her lip color to her purse. As a member of the Beauty Board at CVS, she says fall is the season of the bright lip. That’s one trend that is definitely on my list!

Street Report: Sarah at J. Mendel

A stylist for Visual Therapy, Sarah says she loves shopping at Nordstrom because she can find everything she needs in one spot. J’adore the casual, French elegance of her ensemble.

Mixing signature CHANEL tweed with a denim shirt is inspired, and her spiked Valentino heels add a little edge. Sarah says she is pleased to see the return of ladylike fashion and is ready to embrace feminine styling. As for patterns, she can’t wait to wear polka dots!

Street Report: Parisa at Lincoln Center

Not everyone can work yellow and red this well! Parisa, a clothing designer, says she likes to play with color and try unexpected combinations. Although she says she’ll be sad to see her tan fade this fall, she’s excited to try new trends, like long pleated skirts and high-waist trousers paired with feminine blouses.

Parisa looks to the classic femininity of Diane von Furstenberg designs for inspiration. Maybe we’ll see her collection in the tents next year!

Street Report: Samantha at Vera Wang

Samantha works for Style.com, so she has had a busy week attending all the shows and taking notes. I love Samantha’s look.

Her dress is feminine and flirty, and it accentuates her tan. The way she contrasts her delicate dress with zippered black wedges and a structured Céline bag adds visual interest. She says she doesn’t want to think about cold weather, but that she will be wearing capes when the time comes!

Street Report: Gabriele at Lincoln Center

One of the things I love most about Fashion Week is the wealth of creative designers attending the shows. As I was complimenting Gabriele on her beautiful necklace, she informed me that it is a Gabriele Frantzen original!

She said she is inspired by glitter and sheen, and was on her way to style her jewelry for a show. And now I’m on my way to pick up some of her gorgeous baubles!

Street Report: Allison at Vera Wang

As the television host for FabSugarTV, Allison is always on the hunt for new styles and trends. She says she’s having a ball at Fashion Week and can’t wait to film her segments.

For fall, animal prints and pleated skirts are a must, according to Allison. She’s inspired by pastel colors as well. I love how she styles her delicate blouse by knotting it—a perfect, carefree touch.

Street Report: Chiara at Rebecca Minkoff

Italian Chiara, from popular fashion blog The Blonde Salad, was here at Fashion Week with Fashiolista. I’ve seen her at several shows, and every day she looks stunning.

I adore her silver-toned leather accessories, and her tulip mini is a must-have. Chiara has managed to avoid an all-out glitter bomb by pairing her trendy items with a simple and classic button-up. I love this look!
