Fashion Week Street Style

Street Report: Ashley at Lincoln Center

As a fashion blogger, Ashley has been seeing every show she can and photographing street style in between. Ashley says she is loving knife pleats and all things animal print for fall.

Her bright color accents and leopard wedges are right on trend, and I love how she’s worked her favorite new styles into a weather-appropriate outfit!

Street Report: Ishita Outside Ruffian

Paprika is my number-one favorite fall color, so I just had to shoot Ishita. Her blazer is perfectly fitted and expertly complements her jade blouse and navy shorts. From her oxfords to her statement necklace, Ishita is hitting all the right notes for fall.

I especially love the scalloped hem of her high-waisted shorts. Ishita says velvet is the next trend she wants to conquer.

Street Report: Joanna & Zanna at Jill Stuart

Though their styling is night and day, Joanna (who we saw last season) and Zanna seriously complement each other! Zanna’s orange lips are a big beauty trend for fall, as are Joanna’s leopard accessories.

This dynamic duo both work in magazines, Harper’s Bazaar and Marie Claire, respectively. They both agree that vibrant colors and menswear cuts are a must for fall!

Street Report: Frances Outside ADAM

Head to toe, Frances is hitting a style home run! Her topknot strikes the right balance of simplicity against her intricately pleated blouse and skirt. Her collar-style necklace is one to watch this fall, as is the structured handbag.

Frances works for ADAM, so she was excited to see the crowd reaction to their show. If Frances’ personal style is any indication, I’m sure everyone loved the show!

Street Report: Amber & Noelle at Lincoln Center

These ladies really know how to elevate an ensemble with accessories. Amber’s belt, bracelets and shoes blend seamlessly, while Noelle has perfected the art of the complementary clash.

Amber, accessories editor for SELF magazine, says the ambiance at Fashion Week has inspired her to push herself to try new trends. And Lucky Magazine fashion assistant Noelle says watching the spring shows is like a breath of fresh air—although she does admit that she’s dying to wear her new fur-trimmed camel coat!

Street Report: Frances, Peony & Leandra

Leandra and Peony are back, and they brought a friend! Frances is a fashion blogger, same as her companions. I love that these three gals all have very different personal styles, but really work the trends that work for them.

Frances (far left) is rocking a “Stevie Nicks-inspired” ensemble, while Peony (middle) keeps things tailored. Leandra is once again mixing the delicate with the tough, as she does so well.

Street Report: Dana Outside Jill Stuart

I caught up with Dana after the Jill Stuart show, where she was wearing Jill Stuart, so it follows that she handles PR for the brand. She was thrilled with the show, and excited to have the weekend to relax after the chaos.

Dana describes her style as feminine and colorful, and says she can’t wait to break out her chunky sweaters. Midis and loafer-inspired pumps and wedges are a must-have for fall, too!

Street Report: Yuki Outside Pink Tartan

I’ll admit it, I can’t say no to a jumpsuit. They can be playful, or elegant, or retro, but they’re always a statement.

Yuki, a jewelry designer, says she normally can’t find maxi-length items that complement her petite frame—but she loves this piece. The color is gorgeous, and her accessories are fantastic. In fact, Yuki says her style mainstay is using statement jewelry to elevate a simple palette. Looks like she’s true to her mantra!

Street Report: Angela at Lincoln Center

Angela works in the beauty industry for FusionBeauty, so she has many opinions about fall beauty trends. She says she loves a bright, statement lip and metallic eye, which I am definitely excited to try. She even gave me some tips!

As far as clothing trends go, Angela says she’s looking forward to saturated colors and ladylike blouses, which she ably models with her Fashion Week outfit.

Street Report: Elana Outside Rebecca Taylor

A veteran of the Nordstrom Blog and fashion muse assistant at Marie Claire, Elana is clearly an emerging style star. Her pleated maxi skirt and buttoned-up blouse keep her looking polished, and her classic Dooney & Bourke handbag is a perfect pairing.

I love that, even though it was sweltering today, Elana paired sheer silks and kept her cool—although she did admit that she can’t wait for the cooler temperatures of fall to break out her oversized, wooly coats and heavy layers.
