Nylon Magazine’s Preetma Singh on Summer’s Best Books | Pop-In@Nordstrom Welcomes Warby Parker

Everyone knows all the cool girls are really bookworms—what they don’t know is what all the cool bookworms are reading. You will now though; just follow along with this series as Pop-In@Nordstrom Welcomes Warby Parker helps us celebrate the literary life well lived.

If Preetma Singh didn’t exist, the street style world would have to make her up. Every scene needs its rare bird of uncommon style, and the lawyer-turned-Nylon-mag editor and part-time rock drummer for the band Vomitface (yeah, let us know when it’s her turn at career day), is that green-haired, radically outfitted creature when it comes to Fashion Week and beyond. Scene Snaps: New York Fashion Week

Fashion Week is total mayhem, with photographers, models and editors everywhere. It can be tough to get a lens in edgewise and snap the street-style shots you guys want. But don’t worry—I’m not afraid to get a little dirty to get the goods! It’s been so fun capturing the crème de la crème of the fashion world, and I hope you all enjoy these little snippets of NYFW.

Street Report: Daily Highlights and Scene

It was a cold, windy Saturday in New York City. The snow finally stopped falling, but the drifts caused by plows made navigating the streets treacherous, especially for stiletto-wearing fashionistas!

I ventured away from Lincoln Center today for some of the uber-hip shows, like Band of Outsiders and Alexander Wang, and was rewarded with a veritable who’s who list of the industry’s elite. From Joanna Hillman to Leandra Medine, everyone braved the wind and snow for a glimpse at next year’s fashion.

Somehow, the crowds and traffic and hectic show schedule only make Fashion Week more fun. It’s so inspiring to be here, right in the middle of the craziness, and I wouldn’t change a thing! Well, maybe less snow, but we can’t have it all. 🙂
