Street Style: Aimee Song at Dior

Ooh la la! Aimee Song seriously heated up the street-style scene today. This slim, sexy knit dress is a dream on her, especially with that California glow. I would wear this outfit in a second, if I thought I could look half as amazing as Aimee! Lace-up stilettos amp up the sex appeal even further. A subtle touch of makeup and minimal jewelry keep this look modern and chic.

Street Style: Shiona at Cavalli

Shiona Turini is a regular on our blog, and with good reason—she’s got great energy and killer style! Today’s layered look is modern and bursting with trending color. Baby blue is still an ultra-popular tone, but red is coming up strong. I love the textural details in Shiona’s modern folk blazer, and the hit of patent leather shine her Chanel bag brings to the ensemble.

Street Style: Tina at Cavalli

I can always spot Tina Leung from a mile away, thanks to her cutting-edge style and modern, sleek aesthetic. She always has the most amazing accessories (hello, lace-up stilettos!) and beauty looks. While I’m not usually bold enough for animal print, Tina is making me reconsider. This leather look is pitch-perfect Milano. Ciao bella!

Street Style: Kayla at Cavalli

Culottes were the breakout stars of the year and continue to dominate the street-style scene. Kayla’s graphic striped set is ultra modern and perfect for spring, especially when paired with the season’s hottest sandal: the mule. A butterscotch moto jacket neutralizes and complements the contrasting-stripe motif.

Street Style: Linda at Just Cavalli

Another show, another great outfit from Linda Tol! Overalls and jumpsuits continue to be a hot item this season, especially flared-leg styles. This silky patterned pair is so Linda: unique and edgy. A simple turtleneck is the perfect pairing with this statement one-piece. A bold lip and a structured box clutch add even more cool sophistication to the look.

Street Style: Annie at Michael Kors

My girl Annie Georgia Greenberg is back on The Thread with another great look. Today’s outfit is all about one of the most popular colors of the year: baby blue. Navy and grey elements give some depth. Wide-leg denim is trending heavily here and this light-washed, high-waisted pair feels both current and vintage. See you in Europe, Annie!

Street Style: Zanna at Badgley Mischka

Hello again, Zanna! It’s always a pleasure crossing paths with the beautiful Zanna Roberts Rassi, both for her amazing fashion sense and her lovely personality. She’s a joy to photograph, which goes a long way when you’re standing in the snow for hours trying to get a shot!

Zanna’s pale pink suit is to die for. I love suiting for women, so this is one of my favorite looks of the day, hands down. A moto-style jacket adds some edge.

Remembering Vince Camuto

The fashion world was rocked by the recent news of shoe designer and Nine West cofounder Vince Camuto’s death. Today, and going forward, Nordstrom remembers the man and his work.

“Many of us have had the opportunity to work with Vince over the years and we all feel fortunate to have known a true icon in the industry. He was an amazing partner to Nordstrom and was honored with our Partners in Excellence award in 2012. There are a couple things that come to mind when I think about Vince. He firmly believed that the people were the most important factor in building a successful business. He had a tremendous passion for helping his team to learn, grow and achieve their full potential.” —Scott Meden, General Merchandise Manager, Shoes, in an email to his team.

“What a great loss to our industry.Vince put the customer first and he valued his team and had great humility. He was a teacher and a mentor.” —Tacey Powers, Women’s Shoes Buyer

“We have lost a special person within the footwear industry. He was as talented a person as I’ve had the good fortune of getting to know. Interestingly, as each year passed he literally got more enthusiastic about the customer and the business. He loved being on the floor, talking to the customer, and because of his rich background and innate skills, he instinctively—season after season—came up with great product. We would talk every couple of months and I always got a huge lift from being on the receiving end of his infectious spirit for the business. Our family and team extend our thoughts and prayers to Vince’s family and co-workers.” —Blake Nordstrom, President, Nordstrom Inc. (in Footwear News)

“Something I admired the most is his enthusiasm for the business. He was really into the business. He was engaged and always strived to do more and to do better.” —Pete Nordstrom, President of Merchandising (in WWD)
