But for now, a brief crash course on French New Wave—an informal cinematic movement of the 1950s and ’60s, whose progenitors embodied the “social and political upheavals of the era,” and in which “radical experiments with editing, visual style and narrative” imply a “general break with the conservative paradigm.” (Thanks, Wikipedia.)
